Viruses are tiny germs that affect the normal condition of humans, animals or plants. They cause
discomfort, disorder and severe illness in the body organs.
The most recent diseases in our present generation include; Ebola, HIV/AIDs, Lassa fever and the
most destructive and dangerous pandemic of them all is known as Corona virus (COVID19).
Symptoms of these diseases in the body include fever, sore throat, weight loss, cough and diarrhea.
We can prevent these disease by doing the following
i. Regular washing of hands
ii. Keeping our environment clean
iii. Maintenance of rodent free houses,
iv. Avoid using an unsterilized sharp object such as scissors, clipper, needle, razor blade etc.
v. Abstain from sex outside marriage and stick to one partner.
