Title: Planting of Malunggay/Moringa Trees in Public Schools
Date: September 27, 2021
Venue: BCNHS-SHS (XI-Becquerel)
Participants: Grade XI- Becquerel Parents/Guardians

ACTIVITY
In compliance to the Division Memorandum No. 560, s. 2021 –
“Reiteration of Planting of Malunggay/Moringa Trees in Public
Schools” the Burauen Comprehensive National High School –
Senior High School XI-Becquerel STEM Strand initiated a
Planting of Malunggay/Moringa Trees together with the parents
and guardians held last September 27,2021 at the side and
backyard of the XI-Becquerel.
RATIONALE

This activity is designed to bring together the parents to work


hand-in-hand in complying to the Division Memorandum No.
560, s. 2021 – “Reiteration of Planting of Malunggay/Moringa
Trees in Public Schools”. This program will not only help the
school but also the community in giving them nutrition that will
help them somehow survive in this pandemic.
The purpose of this activity is to engage the parents to
participate, support and sustain the school’s activities and
OBJECTIVES programs and to comply to the Division Memorandum No. 560, s.
2021 – “Reiteration of Planting of Malunggay/Moringa Trees in
Public Schools”.
ACTUAL RESULT Prior to this event, our Secondary School Principal IV, Mrs.
Eleanor E. Cagara, held a faculty meeting at the BCNHS-Social
Hall informing all teachers especially the advisers to advise their

parents to help and support in complying to Division
Memorandum No. 560, s. 2021 – “Reiteration of Planting of
Malunggay/Moringa Trees in Public Schools”. After that, a
homeroom PTA meeting was also conducted last September 15,
2021 informing the parents and guardians of XI-Becquerel
students of different agendas needed to be discussed, one of
which is on when and where they will be planting their
Malunggay Trees, and from that meeting it was decided to
conduct the said activity on September 27,2021

At around 1:00pm parents started to come to school and


proceeds to clean the surroundings of XI-Becquerel. With the
help of the Homeroom PTA President Mr. Christopher Firmo and
Hon. Allan Almenario they are able to provide grass cutters and
extra help to cut the grasses on the surroundings of XI-
Becquerel. After cutting the grasses, the parents started to plant
their Malunggay Trees.

Indeed, the Reiteration of Planting of Malunggay/Moringa Trees


in BCNHS was a successful one, with the help and cooperation
of the parents and guardians of XI-Becquerel students. We are
able to clean the surroundings which will be used to plant and
sustain the Reiteration of Planting of Malunggay/Moringa Trees.
PROBLEMS The only problem that was encountered during this activity was
ENCOUNTERED the number of attendees. Due to different reasons some of the
parents that are invited were not able to attend the said activity.
Nevertheless, the activity was still successful thanks to the
parents and guardians who work hard in supporting this
program and especially to the Homeroom PTA President Mr.
Christopher Firmo and to Hon. Allan Almenario for the grass
cutters and extra help needed to make this Reiteration of

Planting of Malunggay/Moringa Trees in Public Schools a
success.
The lesson that was learned after this activity is that nothing is
impossible and hard if we all work together hand-in-hand.
Through the cooperation and willingness of the parents to
LESSON LEARNED
participate in the said activity, this makes the Reiteration of
Planting of Malunggay/Moringa Trees in Public Schools a
success.
To sustain this program, majority of the parents held a meeting
headed by the Homeroom PTA President Mr. Christopher Firmo,
they’ve come up with an agreement that a contribution of 30
SUSTAINABILITY pesos every 1st distribution and retrieval of the Month will be
collected by the treasurer to help clean and sustain the
cleanliness of the XI-Becquerel surroundings. This contribution
will take effect this October.
