Lesson Learned

As data's placed in the social, political and economic context in which many HRD
operate. Somehow, there has some organizations are have been harassed online for
spreading platforms which lead them taken down their pages. Also, our Google
searches, voice searches, all are tracked and stored by Google so that the
advertisements can be as tailored and accurate as they can be. These “digital traces”
are form of information that tells detailed story about you and your activities. Like a
“digital shadow” that is constantly expanding and morphing, with you and others
creating and adding new traceable activities. That only means that our access to our
social media profiles are censored of the Internet than can also possibly lose our
information and support networks.

Upon reading the article/s that we found, we learned that there are few regulations in
place around the world that adequately control data gathering or protect us from the
enormous level of surveillance we are today subjected to. This emphasizes the
importance of supporting privacy protection legislation and standards in order to effect
change now and in the future. It's also critical that we stay informed about a relatively
"invisible" issue that benefits companies and governments, and find ways to stimulate
interest and raise awareness within our own networks and connections. Finally, by
modifying our ICT activities and moving to privacy-sensitive alternatives, we can reclaim
control over the digital traces we leave behind and limit who can access them. It's
critical to gain a better knowledge of the forces at work and to educate oneself, as well
as one's connections and networks, on how location and browser tracking function.
There are a plethora of resources available to help you switch methods and tools,
ultimately improving your digital footprint.
