Introduction
2
“In essence, grading is an exercise in professional judgment on the part of teachers. It
involves the collection and evaluation of evidence on students’ achievement or
performance over a specified period of time, such as nine weeks, an academic semester,
or entire school year” Guskey,(2021). It illustrates the value of grades in determining a
student's academic standing. While other research indicates that eliciting performance
and practice from the student ("responding") and providing adequate feedback
("reinforcement") are the events most directly associated with student success, it will be
easier for the student to evaluate their performance for the entire semester if their grades
are given as soon as possible. In this day and age, nearly all academic transactions are
completed online. It is essential for teachers to have a system in place for keeping track
of students' attendance and assigning grades based on their academic performance. It is
also another way of adapting to the 21st century education and giving a quality education
to every student.
Project Context
For teachers and students, keeping track of student attendance and recording
their academic marks are crucial activities. It is crucial in determining how well a kid is
performing in an academic setting. And in order to make things easier for our teachers, a
system was created that allows them to simultaneously register student attendance using a
barcode scanner and encode the grades of the students for each grading period.
Purpose and Description
3
For instructors looking for an easy, accessible solution to help behavioral issues in
the classroom, Classroom offers mindfulness-based instruction. With the use of our
breathing, stretching, concentrating, and relaxing exercises, students can enhance their
conduct and general welfare by being more emotionally resilient and self-regulatory. The
Classroom curriculum is the ideal addition to any behavior management techniques
currently in use at your school. With frequent practice, our techniques can simply be
incorporated into the academic routine and offer attention and tranquility to any
classroom.
Objectives of the Study
General Objectives - The main objective of the study is to develop a system for a
Classroom Management System to provide more efficient and productive way of
checking the attendance and upload the grades of the students. The students can view
their grades via online.
The following are the specific objectives of the study:
1. To develop a system with the following features:
a. To easily input the academic grades of the students.
b. To easily record the attendance of the student.
2. To evaluate the usability of the system based on
The following parameters:
a. System Usefulness
b. Information Quality
4
c. Interface Quality
d. Overall Quality
Scope and Limitation
When a student enters the classroom, the Classroom Management system scans their
barcode ID with a barcode scanner to record and submit their attendance. The attendance
and grades of the students can be readily uploaded, saved, and checked by the teachers.
Students, faculty, and administrators can all access the system online. Only checking
attendance, uploading grades, and seeing student grades are the system's primary
functions.
