1. Hatch pattern in AutoCAD
What is hatch in AutoCAD?
Hatches are filled in pattern/solid/gradient in an area or object. For
basics we can choose from the built-in hatches from AutoCAD.
Hatch are also blocks, if you selected the hatch it will modify the
whole blocks.

How to use a hatch?
There are two methods on how to use hatch
o Click on the hatch button on the ribbon which is on
the draw section.
You can type “hatch”

Properties of the hatch:
You can change the properties of the hatch.
1. Pattern
2. Color of the hatch
3. Background color of the hatch
4. Hatch transparency
5. Angle (apply to all except for solid)
6. Scale of the hatch
To modify hatch you can simply click on the hatch and change the
properties of the hatch.

2. Blocks
What is a block?
Block is a command which can help when you need to
repeatedly place the same groups of objects into your
drawings especially when you are drawing the plan of a
house, you will need to place similar windows, doors and
furniture into the layout several times.
How to use block?
You can find this Block command on the ribbon under
Insert section as shown in figure above.

How to create a block?
You can create any object that you want that you want to
convert it into blocks.
Press create block.
Enter the name for your block (example: chair/circle/table)

Under the base point section click on pick point. Then press
on the middle of the point.
Select the object and then your drawings will become a blocks.

How to insert a blocks into your drawing?
You can click on insert
and your blocks will
appear.

3. Creating a single text
You can click on the text on the annotation part.
As usual u need to specify at which point/ area
you want to add text to your drawings.
You can modify your text in the ribbon shown below.
