Possessive adjectives and pronouns are used to indicate ownership or belonging. Possessive adjectives come before a noun and indicate possession, such as "her desk" or "their manager." Possessive pronouns such as "mine" and "yours" are used to refer back to something already mentioned. To form possessive adjectives, the subject pronoun such as "I" becomes the possessive adjective "my."
