Guidelines On Formulating Objectives

The document discusses the importance of defining objectives for educational courses. Objectives guide lessons, help determine what students have learned, and provide clarity from the learner's perspective. Well-stated educational objectives should define the desired student behaviors and the subject matter or life experiences in which those behaviors will operate. Objectives may target different types of behavioral changes in students, such as gaining knowledge through memorization or deep understanding, comprehending meanings, applying principles to new problems, developing psychomotor skills, shaping attitudes, or inspiring interests.
