TOURNAMENT RULES
Eligibility: Open to all players.
System: The tournament will be conducted as per FIDE Laws of Chess and FIDE
Swiss System with 9 rounds.
Time Control: 90 minutes for each player with 30 seconds increment from
1stmove.
Tie-Break: In case of a tie, the latest FIDE Rules shall come in to effect.
AICF Registration: Before submitting the entry, players must be registered with
AICF for the year2022-2023.

Electronic Devices including wrist watches are not allowed in the tournament hall.
Protests: Protests, if any, should be made in writing with a protest fee of Rs.1000/-
within15minutes from the end of the relevant session.
Appeals Committee, formed by the organizers will give their final judgment.
Organiser reserves the rightt to reject any entry without assigning any reason and
to make necessary changes to the rules pertaining to the tournament.
Withdrawals- A player may with draw at any stage of the event, after informing the
Chief Arbiter in writing.
Players qualified for more than one prizes will be considered only for higher
prize.
Participation certificate in the form of E-Certificates will be awarded to all
the participants.
