SICAM HMI
• Runtime/SICAM WEB:
– SICAM HMI
In the engineering view of the SICAM Device Manager, you can find 2 editors:
The application SICAM HMI is used to create single-line diagrams.
The application SICAM HMI Events and Alarms is used to create event and alarm lists. In addition, this
application offers the possibilty for the engineering of SICAM HMI specific signal properties.
In the runtime view of the SICAM Device Manager, you can find the application SICAM HMI. Here, your
created single-line diagrams can be uploaded to be monitored and controlled. Depending on your configura-
tions made with the editor SICAM HMI in the engineering view, the single-line diagrams in the runtime view
are combinded with alarm or event lists.
You can find the current product version and corresponding documentation in the Siemens Industry Online
Support portal (refer to https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/start?lc=en-US).
Licensing
The editor SICAM HMI in the SICAM Device Manager engineering view is licensed in the Automation License
Manager under the name Device Manager HMI Configuration. The Automation License Manager is a
separate software which installed in combination with the SICAM Device Manager.
The usage of up to 200 data points and 4000 list entries (combined over all lists) in the SICAM HMI runtime is
license-free. The usage of additional data points and list entries can be ordered via the SICAM Function Point
Manager. With the respective license, a maximum of 2000 data points and 30 000 list entries is available to
you.
For more information, refer to the Function Point Manager manual (refer to https://
support.industry.siemens.com/cs/products?mfn=ps&pnid=29470&lc=en-WW).
Performance
If you work with a SICAM CP-8050, the maximum allowed limit of devices is 100.
² Navigate to your SICAM HMI and SICAM EVA application files, for example, HMI_1.10.3_ARM32V7.F,
SHMI_1.10.3_X64.S, SEVA_1.10.2_ARM32V7.F.
The license for the application SICAM HMI Events and Alarms is called SICAM EVA.
² Select the icon .
[sc_hmi_activating, 1, en_US]
The tiles for the 2 applications are visible in the main page of your SICAM Device Manager project.
The tile names of the editors in the engineering view are SICAM HMI and SICAM HMI Events and Alarms.
[sc_hmi_open, 1, en_US]
Runtime View
² Open one of your projects.
² Select the tile SICAM WEB.
² Log on to your device.
The main menu of the runtime view is displayed.
² Select the tile SICAM HMI.
The application opens.
If you select the tile SICAM WEB to open the SICAM runtime, the defined single-line diagram is automatically
opened. You don't need to select the tile SICAM HMI in the runtime view.
• Only events
• Only alarms
[sc_hmi_new, 1, en_US]
Assigning Signals
A signal can only be used in the runtime when the signal is assigned to an element of a single-line diagram
(for example, switch operations or displaying measured values).
² Open the tab Signals.
All signals previously created in the SICAM Device Manager are displayed.
² Choose a signal from the list and assign it per drag and drop to an element. You can only assign signals of
the correct type to an element.
[sc_hmi_signals, 1, en_US]
You can create SVG graphics with a third-party software and import them into the editor SICAM HMI. For this
example, the freeware tool Inkscape is used. For more information, refer to the official Inkscape documenta-
tion.
For the import into the editor SICAM HMI, every element must have the following properties:
• cwui-state
• cwui-selection
• cwui-id
• cwui-text
• cwui-signaltypes
NOTE
• The font size must only be changed via the properties and not by resizing the element in the drawing
area.
[sc_selection, 1, --_--]
[sc_cwuid-text, 1, en_US]
² Enter a name with a maximum of 13 characters, for example Voltage 1, as the attribute value.
² Select the element for which you want to see the properties.
The properties of the element are displayed on the right side.
Some properties can be modified. Some properties are read-only.
² Edit the properties as desired, for example, the label of the element.
² To save your changes, select the icon .
NOTE
i If you delete a signal in the SICAM HMI editors, this signal is also removed from the RTU. To administer
signals, use the tile RTU Signals of the SICAM Device Manager.
Link to Graphic
This element allows you to navigate from one single-line diagram to another in the runtime view. By selecting
this element, the linked single-line diagram is opened.
• Command: RegulateCmd
Depending on your license, a total of 4000 or 30 000 entries is saved in your event or alarm lists. These entries
are divided between all your created lists. After the maximum capacity is reached, the oldest entry among all
lists is automatically deleted.
A new entry to either list A or B exceeds the 100 % limit and deletes entry number 0001. Entry number 0001 is
always the oldest entry and can either be in list A or B. For the deletion, it is not considered with which list the
maximum was exceeded.
Opening a List
² Select the checkbox of the alarm or event list in the tab Objects.
² Select the icon .
Assigning Signals
² Open the list to which you want to assign signals.
² Open the tab Signals.
All signals previously created in the SICAM Device Manager are displayed.
² Select the checkboxes of the signals you want to assign to the list.
² Select the icon .
A dialog displays which signals can be assigned and which cannot. Only supported signals can be assigned.
² Select the icon .
[sc_hmi_signal_list, 1, en_US]
The alarm or event list can now be assigned to a single-line diagram in the editor SICAM HMI (refer to
3.1.1 Creating Single-Line Diagrams).
QOC
[sc_hmi_property_qoc, 1, en_US]
The following values are available for the signal property QOC (qualifier of command):
• Persistent command
• Interlocking
• Synchrocheck
• No interlocking/synchrocheck
If you assign one of the QOC values Short command output time, Long command output time or Persis-
tent command to a signal, the engineered value is sent unchanged in the runtime view.
If you assign a different QOC value to a signal, one or both of the following options are available in the
command dialog of an object:
Option Description
Unsynchronized Sends the unsynchronized switching qualifier of command with the switching
command in the command value
Unlocked Sends the unlocked switching qualifier of command with the switching command
in the command value
NOTE
After you configured your single-line diagrams and event or alarm lists, you must upload the configurations to
the device.
² Navigate to the main page of the SICAM Device Manager.
² Select the tile Upload & Download.
² Log on to the SICAM WEB.
An overview of all changed engineering data leading to discrepancies to the actual device data is displayed.
² Select Upload to the device to update the engineering data for the single-line diagrams.
The new configuration is uploaded to the device.
² Open the tile SICAM WEB.
² Log on to your device.
² Open the tile SICAM HMI.
The configured main single-line diagram is displayed in the runtime view. Using Link to Graphic elements,
you can navigate to other single-line diagrams.
The current states of all elements (for example, measured values or disconnectors) are displayed.
You are logged on with a role with the permission for operational activities, for example, Administrator.
² Open the tile SICAM HMI in the view SICAM WEB.
The configured single-line diagrams are displayed in the runtime view.
[sc_HMI_runtime, 1, en_US]
² Select the element in the single-line diagram you want to configure, for example, a disconnector.
[sc_HMI_runtime_change, 1, en_US]
The needed permissions for this operation are checked. If you have the necessary permission, the next step is
activated.
² Select the icon .
You need a single-line diagram with an added alarm or event list (refer to 3.1.1 Creating Single-Line
Diagrams).
Acknowledging Alarms
You are logged on with a role with the permission for operational activities, for example, Administrator.
² Open the alarm list.
² Select the icon in the list.
² Enter your filter criteria in the search bar in the upper right corner. You can filter in all columns.
