CAREER GUIDANCE ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT
S.Y. 2022-2023
I.INTRODUCTION
The career Guidance Program is a component of the convergent Career Guidance
Advocacy Program spearheaded by the Human Development and Poverty Reduction
Cluster of the Cabinet. It was also institutionalized under the DedEd’s D.O. 25,s.2013
which declares the observance of the Career Guidance Week, in which the direction of
one’s career path can be strengthened in the presence of Career Advocacy Program that
defines various jobs which are considered marketable.
Even during pandemic time, the DepEd-Zamboanga Sibugay headed by Education
Program Supervisor, Estrelita Peña in cooperation with the guidance counselors of
Zamboanga Sibugay initiated the Career Guidance online called GIYA SA KARERA, just to
reach our learners with information in preparation for their incoming choice of course
or career.
In today’s S.Y. 2022-2023, the Francisco Ramos National High School in
cooperation with the Guidance Office hosted a Career Guidance drive on December 13,
2022 at the FRNHS Gymnasium.
II.RATIONALE
The search for a meaningful career starts with the right choice of course that fits
the personality of the high school graduating students. This is one among the task of
school counselors and other guidance advocates inorder to help students from choosing
a right course that they should pursue. With this, every secondary school celebrates the
Career Guidance Week Advocacy with the objective of reducing students’ “job
mismatch” and to employ them competently based on their field of interest and
capacity.
In line, with the celebration, includes a single day learn and interact sessions
which relates on career guidance for students of Francisco Ramos National High School.
The following purposes of the activity are as follows, to wit;
1. to conduct career guidance to high school Grade 12 and Grade 10 students
2. to receive guidance on the first step to career planning and exploration
3. to evaluate prospective schools for college and senior high school tracks curriculum
4. to be informed of the “hot jobs” and labor market demand.

ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION:
The activity was started with the singing of the National Anthem, followed by the
Opening Prayer. To formally open the program, Ms. Leilani T. Abedejos, Head Teacher IV
rendered an opening remarks. An inspirational message was then, graced by the School
Principal Ms. Rosalie L. Milla to inspire our learners for their upcoming chosen course
and career in the future.
Next, was a very warming welcome given to her in her expertise on shedding
wisdom to our Grade 10 and Grade 12 students as they are about to take the same path
so they will become self-directed individuals, thus lead them to appropriate grounds,
Ms. Junette N. Bitgue,EdD one of the Master Teacher III in Senior High School
Department discussed on Personality Factors to consider when choosing a course or
career in the future.
Then, to ease the mood of our learners the BUNAHIS Dance Troupe performed an
intermission number wearing the different career costume in which applauded by the
audience for their very energetic dance steps.
Another speaker invited from KIT now Zamboanga Sibugay Polytechnic School,
Engineer Amy Nalupa-Mabatid, an Assistant Professor I discussed on the Importance of
Technical Vocational Education to give light on the minds of our students who have
talents and skills on technical and vocational courses and be able to compete the highly-
demand occupations identified in the market today.
To complete the Guidance Program learning sessions, another speaker from the
school, Mr. Edgar P. Cañete, one of the guidance advocates also shared his wisdom on
Senior High School Curriculum and Labor Market Information to guide our Grade 10
students for their upcoming course/track to choose.
Before the program ends, our School Librarian Ms. Madilyn C. Equit, rendered a
song solo and the acknowledgment was then, followed.
The Career Guidance celebration ended up successfully. The guidance office is
hopeful that the students, as early as now, is enlightened and is well-guided with the
careers that they are going to venture into couple of months from now.
