 EXISTING SYSTEM

Ø The Furniture store management system

is mainly concerned with keeping the
records regarding all the items present in
the store, the customer’s details and their
orders. It also stores information about
which product is ready to be shipped.

Ø All this information is mostly stored in

large registers or account books.

Ø It is a very tedious and time consuming

procedure.

Ø A lot of storage space is also required to

keep such huge piles of records and it is
also very hard to find any particular detail.

Ø The billing of the items purchased is also

done manually which store scope of error,
thus breaking the integrity of bond with
the customers.

 PROPOSED SYSTEM

The proposed system is an Automated

Furniture Store Management programme.
With this system we can easily locate the old
order details, manage the item details easily,
and take orders and generate their bills
instantly.

The proposed system has the following

advantages:
Ø User friendly interface

Ø No large area needed

Ø More data can be stored due to more

storage capacity
Ø Time saving and less tedious

Ø Environment Friendly(saves the usage of

paper)

Ø Minimum scope of error in generating billS

 FUTURE ENHANCEMENTS

In future several more options can be added

to the exixsting system and thus can be made
more efficient. A few points to make it more
enhanced are:

• The current program is only used by the

manager of the store, but in future it can
be used by Customers to find the details of
the product.

• A secure Login Window can be added to

make the software more secure.

• A New option can be added to which can

Provide details about the sales and discounts
on the items.

• A new csv file can be provided giving the

details of transport and packaging of the
Items.
