How to include a deep link in a notification

A. Download the RTF template


B. Add the changes in RTF template
C. Upload the customized RTF template
D. Reduce the refresh the BIP notifications
E. Re-test

A – Download the RTF template


1) Download the template from BIP Server. Navigate as: From Fusion Application> go to Navigator > Tools >
Reports and Analytics> Click on Browse Catalog
2) A new page will be open and then replace /analytics/saw.dll?catalog with /xmlpserver/
3) Go to Shared Folders-> Human Capital Management -> Workflow Notifications.
4) Select a template as per your choice. In this example was used template
'PerformanceGoalRespApprovalNotificationReport'
5) click on „More” > Click on „Customize” . When clicked on customize, a copy of the seeded RTF is added in
the Shared Folders/Custom/Human Capital Management/ Workflow notifications
6) Navigate to the custom folder where the copied RTF is placed and then click on Edit, then Edit again to
download the RTF template

B – Add the changes in RTF template


Add a deep link from Tools > Deep Links > Search a link as per your choice. In this example has been used the My
Goals (MY_GOALS,NONE)

1. Locate the deep link from location > Right click > Copy Link. The link copied should be like:
https://XXXXX-test.fa.XX1.oraclecloud.com/fscmUI/faces/deeplink?objType=MY_GOALS&action=NONE
2. Open the RTF template and locate the space where the deep link needs to be added
3. Click on Insert > Links
4. Save the RTF template

C- Upload the customized RTF template


1. If you have not closed the page from A.6 then click on Add New Layout
7) If you have closed the page, return to Shared Folders/Custom/Human Capital Management/ Workflow
notifications > Click on Edit > Click on Add New Layout
2. Click on Upload and add customized file and then click on Upload button

3. After the file is uploaded > Click on View A List button and make the file uploaded as default and active
4. Click on Save Icon which is placed on top right, next to View Report button

D- Reduce the refresh the BIP notifications


Navigate to Setup and Maintenance > Search > Manage Administrator Profile Values.

Set the below profile options to mentioned values below. Do not set to values under 15 as will cause performance
issues. 15 means 15 minutes

The values are reverting to initial values after 24 hours. More details can be found in following Doc ID 2697006.1

• BIP_CLIENT_REFRESH_TIME ==> set it to 15


• BIP_CLIENT_REFRESH_TIME_HCM ==> set it to 15

E- Retest
1. After waiting 15 minutes re-test by adding a new goal to initiate a transaction
