BEFORE STARTING
Please note the following considerations before you start using
BADCOPY®.

1. Make sure you are using Photoshop version CC2019 or higher, earlier
versions are not supported.

2. The PSD files contain carefully organized layers to achieve the results
you see in the product images or previews, make sure to keep the
groups and layers in the same order while using BADCOPY® to avoid
changes in the final appearance.

3. This product uses Smart Objects and Smart Filters technology, due
to this the PSDs files are usually heavier than usual and you should
make sure you have enough disk space and/or virtual memory. You
can increase the ram allocated to Photoshop from the “Performance”
option in Photoshop’s Preferences panel.

WORKING WITH BADCOPY
Using BADCOPY® to beautifully destroy your design or artwork is a
simple, quick and easy task. You will be able to adjust the intensity of
the effects, textures or modify the colors at the moment you need it.
BADCOPY® is totally flexible.

The photocopying process with BADCOPY® is based on:

1. Correctly prepare your design

2. Import your design to BADCOPY®

3. Copy Layer Effects

4. Edit effects, colors and textures

5. Export or save your new image

BADCOPY STRUCTURE
Before starting with BADCOPY® it is necessary that you understand the
structure of the main file, so it will be easier and faster to use it when
you need it.

BADCOPY® is a PSD file that contains textures, adjustment layers,

effects, filters, and smart objects. All layers have been produced and
organized to reproduce the effects of copying and grunge correctly, as
well as to facilitate later editing.

Try to keep this structure whenever you use or edit your projects in
BADCOPY®.

PREPARING YOUR ARTWORK
Flat Colors
To use BADCOPY® you must make sure that your artwork has flat
colors, without gradients, effects or textures.

Background
Make sure you get a transparent or pure white background for your
artwork before importing it into BADCOPY®.

Thundr Co. | Creating Addictive Resources

Full Color
If you want to process a full color image or artwork in BADCOPY®, we
recommend having each color on separate layers.

Working inside the Smart Object

You will also be able to prepare or design your artwork within the
BADCOPY® Smart Object, so it will be easier for you to adjust the
intensity of the effects or colors to each layer and better control the final
result.

IMPORTING YOUR ARTWORK TO

BADCOPY
LOCATING THE SMART OBJECT
Find the Smart Object or layer called PLACE YOUR ARTWORK HERE
highlighted in “red” color and double click on it.

Thundr Co. | Creating Addictive Resources

PLACING YOUR ARTWORK
Once the Smart Object is opened as a new Photoshop file, you will
find two groups of layers named INK BLEED V1 [Transparent
Background] and INK BLEED V2 [White Background].

Depending on the type of background that your artwork or image has,

you must choose one of the two options and place your artwork within
the corresponding group. If you are using INK BLEED V2 [White
Background], once you have placed your artwork in this group, you
will need to convert it to a Smart Object. If you are designing your
artwork directly on top of the BADCOPY® Smart Object, you can use
any version of INK BLEED, however you must make sure to add a pure
white background to the design if you are using INK BLEED V2 [White
Background], flatten the artwork and turn it into a Smart Object.

COPYING AND EDITING LAYER
EFFECTS
COPYING LAYER STYLES
Once you have placed your artwork on the Smart Object, you will need
to copy the Layer Styles or Smart Filters from the layer named
DEFAULT LAYER to your artwork layer. Then disable or turn off the
DEFAULT LAYER, we recommend you not delete this layer as you may
need it if you need to restore the default effects. Before copying the
Smart Filters, make sure your layer is converted to a Smart Object.

ADJUSTING THE INK BLEED

Edit or adjust the ink bleed to your preference.

FOR INK BLEED V1 [TRANSPARENT BACKGROUND]
