MY READING EXPERIENCE

Reading is one part of my life. I began reading in kindergarten and still now I read. Because reading is a
fundamental thing to live in this changing world. When I were in high school, I read many books, like "
The power of now," Ledership A to Z," Extreme serie guide books " and most of preparatory text books. I
read these books in different ways based on my purpose and interest. Most of the time my purpose is
getting good result. For that matter I used to study in skimming and close reading ways. But sometimes
in my break time l read for pleasure, so my way of reading become scanning. This was all about my
reading experience in high school. When we come to university study more advanced reading skills are
needed ,therefore I decided to change my way reading by adopting more active strategies such as note
taking questioning assumptions and bases in texts, evaluating critically and synthesising information
from multiple sources to develop original arguments or ideas. Overall, the reading journey I have been
on so far is good, but there are some issues that I need to improve, so I intend to improve those and
continue my reading journey.
