Game
Play in pairs. Give each pair a board which has boxes with different letters in them
(see example below) and 3 topic cards (e.g. Rooms/Furniture/Appliances).
Student A turns over a topic card and chooses a letter from the board. He/She must
say a word beginning with this letter. If the word is correct then Student A colours
the box (e.g. blue). Then, Student B says a word beginning with a different letter. If
the 2 students can’t think of a word, they turn over a new topic card and continue
the game. Each student tries to block the other’s progress. The student who gets
across the board first wins.
