Introduction:
Death traps are a common staple in many role playing games, but coming up with interesting ones, especially off
the cuff, can be difficult. Below you can find a list of 100 death traps to spring on your players at a moment’s
notice.
The traps below meet a certain criteria. All of them aim to fatally remove a victim, not permanently maim them.
Also, each trap does not instantly kill the victim. There should be enough time for the hero to somehow escape
the trap and defeat the bad guy, usually at the last minute. Finally, the traps contain no super-science or magic.
While they may be far fetched, they are all at least within the realm of possibility.
So fire up the boilers, provoke the sharks, and get the locks ready. The heroes are coming and we need a place
to store them while we tell them how brilliant our plan is.
