Report Format:
Print on both the sides of the paper.
1. Front Page
2. Use font: Times New Roman
3. Use font size:
For Titles 16 Bold,
For subtitles 14
For normal text 12
4. Use margins:
Left margin: 1.5”
Right margin: 1”
Top and Bottom margins: 1”
Text should be justified.
5. Use line spacing: 1.5
6. The report should be spiral.
7. Be in contact with your mentor for corrections / addition / deletions (if any) in
the Report. The student should sign on the acknowledgement and declaration.
8. Certificate from the industry should be on the Industry Letterhead. (In Case of Internship)
9. No. of copies required: Two (2)

1. Topic of the Project:


This should be explicitly mentioned at the beginning of the Synopsis. Since the topic itself
gives a peep into the project to be taken up, candidates are advised to be prudent on naming
the project. This being the overall impression on the future work, the topic should corroborate
the work.
2. Introduction of the project:
This should give the brief introduction about the project.
3. Objective and Scope:
This should give a clear picture of the project. Objectives should be clearly specified. What
specified. What the project ends up to and in what way this is going to help the end user has
to be mentioned.
4. Process description:
The process of the whole software system proposed, to be developed, should be mentioned in
brief. This may be supported by DFD's/Flowcharts to explain the flow of the information.
5. Resources and Limitations:
The requirement of the resources for designing and developing the proposed system must be
given. The resources might be in form of the hardware/software or the data from the industry.
The limitation of the proposed system in respect of a larger and comprehensive system must
be given.
6. Conclusion:
The write-up must end with the concluding remarks-briefly describing innovation in the
approach for implementing the Project, main achievements and also any other important
feature that makes the system stand out from the rest.
7. Role of Group Member Individually:
Each member of the group should be assigned with a particular responsibility / work related
to the major project. Documentation work should not be included in this, Each member of the
group should have the thorough knowledge about each and every
