Ques 1. What is virtualization? What is need of virtualization?
Ans.
Virtualization - The process in which one or more than one machine can be
installed, executed and maintained on the top of main operating system is
called virtualization. Software mimics the function of physical hardware to
run multiple virtual machines simultaneously on a single physical machine.
For example: - Running Linux Operating System on virtual box when the
Windows is pre-installed Operating system.
NEED OF VIRTUALIZATION
1.It saves resources and time for the organization.
2. It provides a feature-rich experience without sacrificing the hardware on
which apps runs.
3.It also helps in decreasing power consumption.
4.It helps in reducing the cost of infrastructure.
5.It allows for easier desktop maintenance.

operating system?
Ans.
Operating System – An Operating System is the program that after being
loaded into the computer by a boot program, manages all the other
application programs in a computer. It is fully integrated set of specialized
programs that can handle the operations of the computer. It manages the
computer’s memory and processes as well as all its software and hardware.

Roles and Responsibilities of an Operating System are:-

connected to computer.

4. It ensures that no application or process take too much memory and slows
down the computer.
5. It provides a User-Interface.
