Sketchup Fundamentals Tutorial
Learn how to Navigate the tools
1. Set up Tool Set (go to View, look for Tool Palettes and click Large tool Set)

2. First Tool we need to know is RECTANGLE TOOL
Rectangle- click and draw a rectangle or square

3. Push Full Tool
Push Pull Tool -click and select the item or surface
you want to pull

4. Magnifying Glass
Magnifying Glass Tool – Click and drag to zoom
or see closely your surface or item you are creating
5. Orbit Tool
Orbit Tool – Click and drag your mouse around
your model
5. Hand Tool

Hand Tool – Click and drag your view across the
screen without orbiting
5. Shortcut Tool (TIP 1.) – 3 buttons scroll wheel mouse

1. Scroll wheel – roll the wheel forward and back
to zoom the surface (you can point your mouse
to edge or surface you want to zoom)
2. Press the scroll wheel down to ORBIT
3. Press the scroll wheel down button and shift
key to pan or move the model

component first.
2. Make sure it is blue
3. Then hold the option key in mac or
control key in windows and go to the
edges until you see a dot.
4. Move while pressing option key in mac
or control key in windows.
