1. Is this module a year module or a semester module?

➢ AFK1505 is a year module.

2. I have registered but I haven’t received any study material. What should I do?

➢ All the relevant study material is available on your module site. This module is fully online –
you won’t receive any study material.

3. How many assessments do I have?

➢ You have seven (7) assessments to complete.

4. Do I have to write an exam in this module?

➢ No. There is no exam in AFK1505. You must complete the seven assessments to build up a
final mark.

5. Why is AFK1505 not reflecting on my exam timetable?

➢ Because AFK1505 is a continuous assessment module and includes no exam, it will not
reflect on your exam timetable.

6. Are there online classes in this module?

➢ Yes. Several online classes will be presented throughout the year. These classes are not
compulsory to attend and all classes will be uploaded and shared on your module site.

7. What platform is used for the online classes?

➢ Teams. Information on how to access the meeting without a Teams account is available
online, but a link is also shared via the Announcements.

8. Where do I find information about the online classes?

➢ Information about the online classes is communicated through the Announcements on your
module site.

9. Where are my assessments located?

➢ All assessments are located on your module site. To submit your assessments, you should
use the relevant assessment links on your module site. These links are available in the
navigation bar on the left of your screen or in the activities section when you use the drop-
down arrow.

10. When will my marks for my assessments be available?

➢ For MCQ quiz assessments, marks should reflect within one day after the due date. For file
upload (PDF) assessments, marks will be released about two weeks after the due date. The
releasing of marks for file upload assessments depends on system availability for markers
and load shedding schedules.

11. Can I use my phone to complete assessments?

➢ Yes, but some assessments will be easier to navigate on a computer. We encourage the use
of a computer for MCQ assessments.
