Clip Design

This document presents the design of a purlin fixing clip and bolt system. It analyzes two load cases, with a tensile force of 9.8 kN in the first case and 13.05 kN in the second case. For both cases, it checks that the capacity of the 2 bolts of 12mm diameter and the 6mm thick clip plate are sufficient to resist the tensile and shear forces, based on the material yield strengths and design code criteria. The analysis confirms the bolt and clip design is adequate for both load cases.
