Creating a Windows Instance on AWS
Step 1: Log in to AWS Console
Navigate to the AWS Management Console, and log in with your credentials.
Step 2: Access EC2 Dashboard
Click on the "Services" dropdown in the top-left corner, then select "EC2" under the "Compute"
section.
Step 3: Launch Instance
In the EC2 Dashboard, click the "Instances" link on the left sidebar.
Click the "Launch Instance" button.
Step 4: Choose an Amazon Machine Image (AMI)
Select the "Microsoft Windows" tab.
Choose a Windows AMI (e.g., Microsoft Windows Server).
Click "Select" to choose the desired AMI.
Step 5: Choose an Instance Type
Select an instance type based on your requirements.
Click "Next: Configure Instance Details."
Step 6: Configure Instance Details
Configure instance details like the number of instances, network settings, etc.
Click "Next: Add Storage."
Step 7: Add Storage
Specify the storage size and other configurations.
Click "Next: Add Tags."
Step 8: Add Tags (Optional)
Add tags if needed.
Click "Next: Configure Security Group."
Step 9: Configure Security Group
Configure the security group to allow necessary inbound and outbound traffic.
Click "Review and Launch."
Step 10: Review and Launch
Review your instance configuration.
Click "Launch."
Step 11: Create a Key Pair
Choose an existing key pair or create a new one.
Click "Launch Instances."
Step 12: View Instances
Click the "View Instances" button.
Wait for the instance to launch.
Step 13: Connect to the Windows Instance
Once the instance is running, select the instance.
Click the "Connect" button.
Follow the instructions to connect using Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP).
