cinema, video installations, and literature, and controversially eroded the distinction between fine art
and common aesthetics. Andy Warhol created work in a variety of disciplines, including hand painting,

was one of paradoxes: the ordinary made extraordinary, the impersonal artist
who became a global icon. One of his famous works is the artwork named
"Marilyn Diptych". It was made in 1962 It is indeed a significant piece that
stands as a critique of modernity in the art industry and contemporary life. The
technique used is silkscreening, the method involves transferring an image
onto a canvas using silkscreen stencil. It represents a silkscreened
photograph of Marilyn Monroe as it highlighted the difference behind and
between her public figure and personal life. Warhol's use of repetition and
impersonal nature of the image provides a message that shows emotional
flatness and consumerism prevalent in society. The medium that has been
used in Warhol's Marilyn Diptych is silkscreen ink and acrylic paint on two
canvases.
