15:1 ‫אָ ז‬ ‫י ִָׁשיר‬ ‫מֹׁשֶ ה ־‬ ‫ּובנֵי‬

ְ ‫יִ ְׂש ָראֵ ל‬ ‫ירה ־ אֶ ת‬
ָ ‫ַה ִּׁש‬ ‫ַהּז ֹאת‬ ‫לַ יהוָה‬

. Then sang Moses and the

‫ֹאמרּו‬
ְ ‫וַּי‬ ‫לֵ אמֹר‬ ‫ירה‬
ָ ‫אָ ִׁש‬ ‫לַ יהוָה‬ ‫ִּכי‬ ‫ָגאֹה ־‬ ‫ּגָאָ ה‬ ‫סּוס‬ LORD, for he hath
triumphed gloriously: the

horse and his rider hath he
and·they-are-saying to·to-say-of I-shall-sing to·Yahweh that to-be-august he-is-august horse
thrown into the sea.
‫ְור ְֹכב‬ ‫ָר ָמה‬ ‫ַבּיָם‬ :

and·one-riding-of·him he-heaved in·the·sea

15:2 ‫עָ ּזִ י‬ ‫ְוזִ ְמ ָרת‬ ‫וַיְ ִהי יָּה‬ ‫ִלי ־‬ ‫ִליׁשּועָ ה‬ ‫זֶה‬ ‫אֵ ִלי‬

The LORD [is] my
oz·i u·zmrth ie u·iei - l·i l·ishuoe ze al·i strength and song, and he is
strength-of·me and·melody-of Ie and·he-is-becoming to·me for·salvation this-one El-of·me become my salvation: he
[is] my God, and I will
‫ְואַ נְ וֵהּו‬ ‫הי‬$ֱ
ֵ ‫א‬ ‫אָ ִבי‬ ‫ר ְמ ֶמנְ הּו‬
ֹ ‫א‬
ֲ ‫ַו‬ : prepare him an habitation;
my father's God, and I will

exalt him.

15:3 ‫יְ הוָה‬ ‫ִאיׁש‬ ‫יְ הוָה ִמ ְל ָח ָמה‬ ‫ְׁשמ‬ :

The LORD [is] a man of

ִ ‫ׁשָ ִלׁשָ יו‬

Pharaoh's chariots and his

chariots-of Pharaoh and·army-of·him he-shot in·the·sea and·choice-of third-fighters-of·him sea: his chosen captains
also are drowned in the Red
‫טֻ ְּבעּו‬ ‫ְביַם‬ ‫ סּוף ־‬: sea.

15:5 ‫המֹת‬
ֹ ‫ְּת‬ ‫יְ כַ ְסיֻמּו‬ ‫י ְָרדּו‬ ‫ת‬$‫ִב ְמצ‬ ‫אָ ֶבן ־ ְּכמ‬ :

The depths have covered
themth iksi·mu irdu b·mtzulth kmu - abn : them: they sank into the
abysses they-mcovered-him they-descended in·shadowy-depths like stone bottom as a stone.

15:6 1 ְ‫יְ ִמינ‬ ‫יְ הוָה‬ ‫נ ְֶא ָּד ִרי‬ ‫ַּבּכ ַֹח‬ 1 ְ‫יְ ִמינ‬ ‫יְ הוָה‬

Thy right hand, O LORD,

LORD, hath dashed in

And in the greatness of

and·in·vastness-of pomp-of·you you-are-demolishing ones-rising-of·you you-are-msending-forth overthrown them that rose
up against thee: thou sentest
1 ְ‫חרֹנ‬
ֲ ‫ֹאכלֵ מ‬
ְ ‫י‬ ‫ּכַ ַּקׁש‬ : forth thy wrath, [which]
consumed them as stubble.

And with the blast of thy

and·in·wind-of nostrils-of·you they-were-denuded waters they-nstood-up like waterspout gathered together, the
floods stood upright as an
‫נֹזְ ִלים‬ ‫ָק ְפאּו‬ ‫המֹת‬
ֹ ‫ְת‬ ‫ְּבלֶ ב‬ ‫ יָם ־‬: heap, [and] the depths were
congealed in the heart of the

sea.
ones-flowing they-are-curdled abysses in·heart-of sea

15:9 ‫מר‬
ַ ָ‫א‬ ‫איֵב‬ ‫אֶ ְרּדֹף‬ ‫אַ ִּׂשיג‬ ‫ֲחּלֵ ק‬
ַ ‫א‬ ‫ׁשָ לָ ל‬

The enemy said, I will
amr auib ardph ashig achlq shll pursue, I will overtake, I
he-said one-being-enemy I-shall-pursue I-shall-covertake I-shall-mapportion loot will divide the spoil; my lust
shall be satisfied upon
‫ִּת ְמלָ אֵ מ‬ ‫נ ְַפ ִׁשי‬ ‫אָ ִריק‬ ‫ַח ְר ִּבי‬ ‫ּתריׁשֵ מ‬
ִ them; I will draw my sword,
my hand shall destroy them.

Thou didst blow with thy
nshphth b·ruch·k ks·mu im tzllu k·ouphrth b·mim wind, the sea covered them:
you-made-breeze in·wind-of·you he-mcovered·them sea they-submerged as·the·lead in·waters they sank as lead in the
mighty waters.

Who [is] like unto thee,

who ? like·you in·the·Elohim Yahweh who ? like·you being-ennobled in·the·holiness who [is] like thee, glorious

you-stretched-out right-hand-of·you she-is-swallowing-up·them earth swallowed them.

15:13 ‫ית‬
ָ ‫נ ִָח‬ 1‫ְב ַח ְס ְּד‬ ‫עַ ם‬ ‫זּו ־‬ ‫ּגָאָ ְל ָּת‬ ‫ֵה ְל ָּת‬
ַ ‫נ‬ 1 ְ‫ְבעָ ּז‬

Thou in thy mercy hast
nchith b·chsd·k om - zu galth nelth b·oz·k led forth the people [which]
you-guided in·kindness-of·you people this you-redeemed you-mconduct in·strength-of·you thou hast redeemed: thou
hast guided [them] in thy
‫נְ וֵה ־ אֶ ל‬ 1 ֶ‫ָק ְדׁש‬ : strength unto thy holy
habitation.

ְ ‫י‬ ‫ְּפלָ ׁשֶ ת‬ :

The people shall hear,
shmou omim irgzu·n chil achz ishbi phlshth : [and] be afraid: sorrow shall
they-heard peoples they-are-being-disturbed travail he-holds ones-dwelling-of Philistia take hold on the inhabitants
of Palestina.
15:15 ‫אָ ז‬ ‫נִ ְבהֲלּו‬ ‫אַ ּלּופֵ י‬ ‫אֵ ילֵ י אֱדם‬ ‫חזֵמ מאָ ב‬
ֲ ‫י ֹא‬ ‫ָרעַ ד‬

Then the dukes of Edom
az nbelu aluphi adum aili muab iachz·mu rod shall be amazed; the mighty
then they-are-flustered sheiks-of Edom arbiters-of Moab he-is-holding·them quivering men of Moab, trembling
shall take hold upon them;
‫ָנמֹגּו‬ ‫ּכֹל‬ ‫ֹׁש ֵבי‬
ְ ‫י‬ ‫ְכנָעַ ן‬ : all the inhabitants of
Canaan shall melt away.

ֶ ֵ‫עֲל‬ ‫ימ ָתה‬
ָ ֵ‫א‬ ‫וָפַ ַחד‬ ‫ִּבגְ דֹל‬ 1ֲ‫זְ רע‬ ‫יִ ְּדמּו‬

Fear and dread shall fall

she-is-falling on·them dread and·awe in·greatness-of arm-of·you they-are-being-still of thine arm they shall be
[as] still as a stone; till thy
‫ּכָ אָ ֶבן‬ ‫עַ ד‬ ‫עבֹר ־‬
ֲ ‫ַי‬ 1‫עַ ְּמ‬ ‫יְ הוָה‬ ‫עַ ד‬ ‫עבֹר ־‬
ֲ ‫ַי‬ ‫עַ ם‬ ‫זּו ־‬ people pass over, O LORD,
till the people pass over,

as·the·stone until he-is-passing-by people-of·you Yahweh until he-is-passing-by people this

Thou shalt bring them in,
thba·mu u·thto·mu b·er nchlth·k mkun and plant them in the
you-shall-cbring·them and·you-shall-plant·them in·mountain-of allotment-of·you site mountain of thine
inheritance, [in] the place,
1‫ְל ִׁש ְב ְּת‬ ‫ּפָ עַ ְל ָּת‬ ‫יְ הוָה‬ ‫ִמ ְּק ָדׁש‬ ‫דנָי‬
ֹ ‫א‬
ֲ ‫ּכנְ נּו‬ 1‫י ֶָדי‬ : O LORD, [which] thou hast
made for thee to dwell in,
l·shbth·k pholth ieue mqdsh adni kunnu idi·k :
[in] the Sanctuary, O Lord,
to·to-dwell-of·you you-contrived Yahweh sanctuary my-Lord they-mestablished hands-of·you
[which] thy hands have
established.
15:18 ‫יְ הוָה‬ >$‫יִ ְמ‬ ‫ְלעֹ לָ ם‬ ‫וָעֶ ד‬ : 18
The LORD shall reign

Yahweh he-shall-reign for·eon and·futurity

15:19 ‫ִּכי‬ ‫ָבא‬ ‫סּוס‬ ‫ּפַ ְרעֹ ה‬ ‫ְּב ִר ְכּב‬ ‫ּובפָ ָרׁשָ יו‬

For the horse of Pharaoh
ki ba sus phroe b·rkb·u u·b·phrshi·u b·im went in with his chariots
that he-entered horse-of Pharaoh in·chariot-of·him and·in·horsemen-of·him in·the·sea and with his horsemen into
the sea, and the LORD
‫ַוּיָׁשֶ ב‬ ‫יְ הוָה‬ ‫עֲלֵ ֶהם‬ ‫ֵמי ־ אֶ ת‬ ‫ַהּיָם‬ ‫ּובנֵי‬
ְ ‫יִ ְׂש ָראֵ ל‬ ‫ָה ְלכּו‬ brought again the waters of
the sea upon them; but the

ֲ ַ‫א‬ ‫ַהּתֹף ־ אֶ ת‬ ‫ְּבי ָָדּה‬

And Miriam the

and·she-is-taking Miriam the·prophetess sister-of Aaron » the·tambourine in·hand-of·her Aaron, took a timbrel in her
hand; and all the women

And Miriam answered

. So Moses brought

wilderness of Shur; and
‫ִמ ְד ַּבר ־ אֶ ל‬ ‫ׁשּור ־‬ ‫ַוּי ְֵלכּו‬ ‫ׁשֶ ת‬$‫ְׁש‬ ‫ַּב ִּמ ְד ָּבר י ִָמים ־‬ ‫ְול ֹא‬ ‫ָמ ְצאּו ־‬ they went three days in the
wilderness, and found no

water.

And when they came to

and·they-are-coming Marah·ward and·not they-were-able to·to-drink-of waters from·Marah of the waters of Marah, for
they [were] bitter: therefore
‫ִּכי‬ ‫ָמ ִרים‬ ‫ֵהם‬ ‫ָק ָרא עַ ל־ּכֵ ן‬ ‫ְׁש ָמּה ־‬ ‫ָמ ָרה‬ : the name of it was called
Marah.

15:24 ‫וַּיִ ;נּו‬ ‫ָהעָ ם‬ ‫מֹׁשֶ ה ־ עַ ל‬ ‫ּלֵ אמֹר‬ ‫ַמה‬ ‫ּנִ ְׁש ֶּתה ־‬ :

And the people
u·ilnu e·om ol - mshe l·amr me - nshthe : murmured against Moses,
and·they-are-nmurmuring the·people on Moses to·to-say-of what ? we-shall-drink saying, What shall we
drink?
15:25 ‫וַּיִ ְצעַ ק‬ ‫יְ הוָה ־ אֶ ל‬ ‫ַּירהּו‬
ֵ ‫ו‬ ‫יְ הוָה‬ ‫עֵ ץ‬ > ֵ‫ַׁשל‬
ְ ‫ַוּי‬ ‫־ אֶ ל‬

And he cried unto the
u·itzoq al - ieue u·iur·eu ieue otz u·ishlk al - LORD; and the LORD
and·he-is-crying to Yahweh and·he-is-cdirecting·him Yahweh tree and·he-is-cflinging to shewed him a tree, [which]
when he had cast into the
‫ַה ַּמיִ ם‬ ‫וַּיִ ְמ ְּתקּו‬ ‫ַה ָּמיִ ם‬ ‫ׁשָ ם‬ ‫ׂשָ ם‬ ‫ל‬ ‫חֹק‬ ‫ּומ ְׁשּפָ ט‬
ִ waters, the waters were
made sweet: there he made
e·mim u·imthqu e·mim shm shm l·u chq u·mshpht
for them a statute and an
the·waters and·they-are-becoming-sweet the·waters there he-placed for·him statute and·judgment
ordinance, and there he
proved them,
‫ְוׁשָ ם‬ ‫נִ ָּסהּו‬ :

and·there he-mprobed·him

15:26 ‫ֹאמר‬
ֶ ‫וַּי‬ ‫מע ־ ִאם‬
ַ ָ‫ׁש‬ ‫ִּת ְׁש ַמע‬ ‫ְלקל‬ ‫יְ הוָה‬ 1‫הי‬$ֱ
ֶ ‫א‬
26
And said, If thou wilt
u·iamr am - shmuo thshmo l·qul ieue alei·k diligently hearken to the
and·he-is-saying if to-listen you-are-listening to·voice-of Yahweh Elohim-of·you voice of the LORD thy God,
and wilt do that which is
‫ְו ַהּיָׁשָ ר‬ ‫ְּבעֵ ינָיו‬ ‫ַּתעֲׂשֶ ה‬ ‫אזַנְ ָּת‬
ֲ ‫ְו ַה‬ ‫תיו‬
ָ ‫ְל ִמ ְצ‬ right in his sight, and wilt
give ear to his
u·e·ishr b·oini·u thoshe u·eaznth l·mtzuthi·u
commandments, and keep
and·the·upright in·eyes-of·him you-shall-do and·you-cgive-ear to·instructions-of·him
all his statutes, I will put
none of these diseases upon
‫ְוׁשָ ַמ ְר ָּת‬ ‫ּכָ ל‬ ‫ֻח ָּקיו ־‬ ‫ּכָ ל‬ ‫ַה ַּמחֲלָ ה ־‬ ‫אֲׁשֶ ר‬ ‫ׂשַ ְמ ִּתי ־‬ ‫ְב ִמ ְצ ַריִ ם‬ ‫־ ל ֹא‬ thee, which I have brought
u·shmrth kl - chqi·u kl - e·mchle ashr - shmthi b·mtzrim la - upon the Egyptians: for I
and·you-observe all-of statutes-of·him all-of the·illness which I-placed in·Egyptians not [am] the LORD that healeth
thee.
‫אָ ִׂשים‬ 1‫עָ לֶ י‬ ‫ִּכי‬ ‫אֲנִ י‬ ‫יְ הוָה‬ 1 ֶ‫ר ְֹפא‬ : ‫ס‬

15:27 ‫ַו ָּיבֹאּו‬ ‫יל ָמה‬

ִ ֵ‫א‬ ‫ְוׁשָ ם‬ ‫ְׁש ֵּתים‬ ‫עֶ ְׂש ֵרה‬ ‫עֵ ינֹת‬ ‫ַמיִ ם‬ ‫ְו ִׁש ְב ִעים‬
27
And they came to Elim,
u·ibau ailm·e u·shm shthim oshre ointh mim u·shboim where [were] twelve wells
and·they-are-coming Elim·ward and·there two ten-of springs-of waters and·seventy of water, and threescore and
ten palm trees: and they
‫ְּת ָמ ִרים‬ ‫ַו ַּיחֲנּו‬ ‫ׁשָ ם ־‬ ‫ַה ָּמיִ ם ־ עַ ל‬ : encamped there by the
waters.
