ABSTRACT

Everyone is aware that today's top priority is our health. Specifically,

we are talking about cancer patients and medical awareness. On a
global scale, the number of cancer patients is rising.

Performing cancer research relies on substantial financial

investment, and contributions in time and effort from patients. It is
therefore important that this research has real life impacts which are
properly evaluated.
Despite how difficult it is to recover from this illness, hope always
has a chance to flourish.

Our project includes cancer risk assessment tests for various cancer
types that will provide information about an individual's cancer risk
by uploading their some medical reports.

The option to deliver screening tool kits is also available, which will
enable the patient to conduct a detection test at their home.

Cancer screening has contributed to decreasing the morbidity and

mortality of cancer Efforts to improve the selection of candidates for
cancer screening, to understand the biological basis of
carcinogenesis, and the development of new technologies for cancer
screening will allow for improvements in the cancer screening over
time.

INTRODUCTION

We have developed a project on Cancer Assessment where In most

people's minds there is no scarier diagnosis than that of cancer.
Cancer is often thought of as an untreatable, unbearably painful
disease with no cure. However popular this view of cancer may be, it
is exaggerated and over- generalized.
Cancer is one of the leading causes of death worldwide. A large
percentage of patients are diagnosed at an advanced stage, making
the removal of tumors in this population problematic. As a result,
the overall 5-year survival rate is low for this cohort of patients.
Therefore, early stage detection would be helpful in reducing cancer
mortality because treatment might be most effective at the earliest
stages of the disease. For this reason, a well-established assessment
model would greatly benefit patients, clinicians, and researchers
because it would allow individuals at high risk to be identified at the
earliest stages.
This project will be utilized online to raise awareness about the
cancer and enable those working on behalf of cancer patient to unite
and acquire a single platform, facilating and spreeding up the
treatment.

There will be different Risk Test for different type of cancer’s and
frequent updates on medical research and treatements, allowing
users to spend more time learning about their conditions.
For cancer patients, this project will feature a quick and user-
friendly Platform. Also it will manage patient information for several
categories and can collaborate with the government or an indivisual
organization to deliver a cancer screening toolkit to the patients’s
Door. It attempts to be user-friendly and simple to use in this way.

3
OBJECTIVES

The Cancer Assessment test project's primary goals are as follows:

 The portal where patients will receive comprehensive

information on the people who have symptoms but have not yet
been diagnosed with cancer, or people who apply for a Cancer
Screening Tool kit if they use faulty medicinal items.

 A statistical model is used to estimate the risk of future

outcomes for individuals based on one or more underlying
characteristics. Such characteristics often simply referred to as
predictors traditionally not only include standard features such
as age, sex, smoking, and family history but also increasingly
include genetic variants identified in genetic association studies.

 Tool kit for cancer screening—This kit is used to assess the

cancer's activity. This can be carried out right here at our facility
in your body.

 To provide support to healthcare providers and establish

connections for cancer patients its medical advancement
requires assistance or any other necessity.

 To help out the people to find out the risk of cancer in their body.

REQUIREMENT ANALYSIS

PROBLEM DEFINITION:-
This phase consists of two main tasks:
a. The first is to review the needs that originally initiated the project.
b. The second is to identify at an abstract level the expected capabilities
of the new system.
• It helps in understanding the system properly so that all the
problems are identified correctly. It also involves considering all the
alternatives that exist to achieve objectives with respect to modifying
the system, even all the various ways to implement the alternatives.
Requirement Specification:
The Software Requirement Specification is produced at the
culmination of the analysis task. The function and performance
allocated to software as part of system engineering are refined by
establishing a complete information description, a detailed
functional and behavioral description, an indication of performance
requirement and design constraints, appropriate validation criteria,
and other data pertinent to requirements.

FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS:-
Login:
The User has to Login into the System to make use of it. The user
will login into the site by entering his/her email id and password.
The email id and password are authenticated and validate fort login
process. A sign in, a login or logon is a set of credentials used to gain

5
access to an area that requires proper authorization. Logins are used
to gain access to and control of computers, networks, and bulletin
boards, as well as other services and devices. Today, most logins
consist of both a username and password. In this id and password is
mandatory. Also, you cannot keep it as a null.
Registration:-
The User must register into the system with his basic details and
answer few questions asked by the System. A registration form is a
list of fields that a user will input data into and submit to a company
or individual. In this id and password is mandatory. Also, you cannot
keep it as a null.

Non-functional Requirement:
• Performance requirement:
This website should be performing the same way regardless to its
operating system environments. And websites are platform
independent First Aid Buddy Chat Bot Website 14 they run on any
operating system.

• Safety requirement:
If there is extensive damage to a wide portion of the database due to
catastrophic failure, such as a disk crash, the recovery method
restores a past copy of the database that was backed up to archival
storage (typically tape) and reconstructs a more current state by
reapplying or redoing the operations of committed transactions
from the backed up log, up to the time of failure.

6
• Portability:
As this software is to work on multiple platforms portability is an
essential attribute and we ensure this by using java as our
programming language.
• Testability:
As a basic characteristic the software needs to be testable to ensure
correctness.
• Security Requirements:
Security systems need database storage just like many other
applications. However, the special requirements of the security
market mean that vendors must choose their database partner
carefully.
Hardware Requirement:
Disk Space 1 GB RAM.
200 GB HDD/SSD.
Processor Intel 1.66 GHz Processor Pentium 4

Software Requirement:
Flask Python farmework.
Python interpreter.
HTML and CSS. Bootstrap.
Xamp Server MYSQL Database.

DATA FLOW DIAGRAM

A data flow diagram (DFD) illustrates how data is processed by a

system in terms of inputs and outputs. As its name indicates its
focus is on the flow of information, where data comes from, where it
goes and how it gets stored.

ACTIVITY DIAGRAM

Activity diagrams are graphical representations of workflow of

stepwise activities and actions with support for choice, iteration and
concurrency. Although activity diagrams primarily show the overall
flow of control, they can also include elements showing the flow of
data between activities through one or more data stores.
Activity diagrams are constructed from a limited number of shapes,
connected with arrows. The most important shape types:
 ellipses represent actions;
 diamonds represent decisions;
 bars represent the start (split) or end (join) of concurrent
activities;
 a black circle represents the start (initial node) of the
workflow;
 an encircled black circle represents the end (final node).

BENEFFITS TO THE SOCIETY :-

 This will create awareness about cancer and will provide correct
information about disease.
 Risk Assessment will create a positive impact, by making patient aware
about its disease risk towards getting affected by cancer.
 This will save patients time and hastiness at hospitals ( testing centers).
 As kits will be provided , so the check up cost will also be saved.
 This will create impact on medical process without moving out, patient
can get its clarification at its own place.

LIMITATIONS :-

 This website will only provide risk detection and delivery of screening
tool kits. The treatment needs to be done by the doctors.

FUTURE SCOPE :-

 This website will be enhanced with more types of cancer risk tests.

 This can be also used to make connections for the doctors and the
organizations working for Cancer patients.

 The development of such website will also give birth to new ways of
detection and prediction of different types of cancer .

CONCLUSION

A plan for the diagnosis and treatment of cancer is a key

component of any overall cancer control plan. Its main goal is to
cure cancer patients or prolong their life considerably, ensuring a
good quality of life.
In order for a diagnosis and treatment programme to be effective, it
must never be developed in isolation. It needs to be linked to an
early detection programme so that cases are detected at an early
stage, when treatment is more effective and there is a greater
chance of cure. It also needs to be integrated with a palliative care
programme, so that patients with advanced cancers, who can no
longer benefit from treatment, will get adequate relief from their
physical, psychosocial and spiritual suffering.
As per the sections we have in our website,Screening tests have the
potential to be a cost effective means for identifying subjects with
early stage (and thus potentially more treatable) disease before
symptoms develop and therefore, for saving lives.
