SEO (SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION)

It is the process of improving the quality of content by optimizing according to the user

intent and getting traffic to increase the website ranking and visibility in search Engine.

OFF-PAGE OPTIMIZATION
Off-page optimization is everything you can do to improve your organic search rankings

that does not involve your actual website. This includes anything you can do to create

high-quality backlinks and further drive your exposure.

ON-PAGE OPTIMIZATION
On-page optimization involves actions you take on your website to improve your organic

search engine rankings and can include improving meta tags or optimizing your website

content.

AFFILIATE
An affiliate website helps to promote the products and services sold on other websites in

exchange for a commission.

AFFILIATE MARKETING
Promoting products & earning affiliate commission on these products by making a site or

doing paid advertisement or social media marketing. (Example: Product Reviews Sites,

PPC Ads)

BLOG
The blog is a website which provides content on a regular basis through a content

management system like wordpress, Blogger etc.

EVENT BLOGGING
Making a site/blog on a very trending topic which is coming in few months and trying to

take benefit in that time duration. For example Happy new year, EID, Worldcup etc

CPA MARKETING
Cost Per Action Marketing is basically when you promote something (A Product, A

Membership, Book etc) and a Visitor takes any action you Earn a Commision.

ADSENSE (GOOGLE ADSENSE)


A Google platform that allows websites to earn money by publishing Google network ads
on their website.

ORGANIC SEARCH
Organic search is un paid search results, Naturally generated traffic by typing search

queries in search Engine.

KEYWORDS
Keywords are terms and phrases which user type in a search engine to find their required

results.

The terms which people used to find their targeted content is also called search queries.

LATENT SEMANTIC INDEXING (LSI)


Google always try to discover the correlation in words. LSI helps to compare the relation

between different terms and phrases.

LSI helps to boost the traffic on the website and also help to increase the visibility in

Search Engine.

You can say LSI keywords are similar to your original keyword.

For Example, ways to reduce weight is the main keyword, and LSI keywords of main

keywords are

- Ways to cut down fat

KEYWORD STUFFING
Messed up a web page content, meta information with the number of keywords are called

keyword stuffing.

LONG-TAIL KEYWORD
A long-tail keyword is a specific, targeted search phrase, usually containing three or more

words. Using long-tail keywords is a great way of getting more qualified leads likely to

convert.

Site audits are exactly what they sound like—systematic reviews of your website’s

performance in terms of benchmarks like search ranking, traffic numbers, time users

spend on each page, external links viewers are using to get to your site, links visitors are

The percentage of the people who saw a search result, ad, or e-mail who then clicked

It is a link that instructs search engines not to crawl an outgoing link or give authority to

the destination page.

DOFOLLOW LINK
It is a link that instructs search engines to crawl and pass authority to destination page.

CRAWLING
Crawling Is something like patrolling, Google or any other Search Engine send their

spiders or crawlers to websites to scan the page.

Crawling doesn’t mean that your page is indexed.

INDEX
You can say it is the name of the Search Engine database. It contains all the data and

information of websites.

INDEXING
The process in which Search Engine collecting the data of web pages in its own database.

Through this database, the search engine will able to respond to the requested query of

the user.

BLACK HAT SEO


This is a technique that is used to increase the website rank in a Search engine by violating

rules and regulations of Search Engine.

Black hat techniques are the tactics which are used to manipulate google. This is also

called unethical SEO techniques.

WHITE HAT SEO


Techniques and strategies used to boost your website on Search Engine by following

policies and rules of a search engine also called ethical SEO.

White hat SEO is totally based on user satisfaction.

LINK BUILDING
Link Building is the main SEO term getting links from other websites to your domain is

called link building.

BACKLINKS
These are the links which a website gets from another website, and you can say inbound

links or incoming links.

Backlinks help to make authority, also known as a vote of confidence.

Any outside domain (external sites) referring to your website or domain providing you a

backlink

DEEP LINK
The link pointing to other than the home page is called deep links

RECIPROCAL LINKS
Reciprocal links build when two websites agree to link each other, they help to increase

the traffic of your website.

INTERNAL LINK
This is the type of hyper link which links to one page to another page within the same

domain.

It helps the user to navigate the website easily.

LINK JUICE
Link juice refers to the value passed from one page or site to the other page or site.
SITEMAPS
It is an XML file has a list of pages of a website with metadata information.

The sitemap will help Search Engine to crawl the website easily.

DISAVOW
Google offers a Disavow tool to instruct Google to ignore or avoid spammy links.

REDIRECTS
Redirection is basically the process of moving forward one URL (Uniform Resource

Locator) to a different URL.

You can say this is the way to send SE (search Engine) and users to a different URL from

requested URL.

301 REDIRECT
It is the permanent redirection from one URL to the other URL.

302 REDIRECT
It’s a temporary redirection from one URL to the other URL

404 ERROR
The error message that appears when a visitor tries to go to a web page that does not

exist.

ALT TAG
The alt tag is known as alternative text which describes the function of an image on the

page.

It is an HTML attribute in image tag to provide the alternate name of an image when the

web page cannot be displayed.

ANCHOR TEXT
Anchor text is a clickable visible text, which links to another webpage or document.

CANONICAL TAG
When you have Similar pages and URL, the duplicate content issue always arises, to deal with this
issue we used the canonical tag. <link rel=”canonical” href=”http://www.example.com/” />

CLOAKING
It is a tactic of SEO in which content presented to Search Engine crawlers is different from

the that presented to the user.

It is the unethical way to manipulate google algorithm, as a result of cloaking Search

Engine ban such type of sites from indexing.

ROBOTS.TXT
This is a robot exclusion protocol or robots.txt used to communicate with web bots or

crawlers.

You can restrict not to crawl and index specific pages, "Disallow: /" helps to explain

the robot that crawler should not index specific page.

BOUNCE RATE
Bounce rate is an approximate percentage of visits in which user leave your website from

the landing page without scrolling further.

DWELL TIME
The actual time duration a person spent on a website before returning to SERPS (Search

Engine Result Pages)

BREAD CRUMBS
Navigational text path within the website to find where you are on the website is called

bread crumbs.

GOOGLE ANALYTICS
Even if you are entirely new to the digital marketing world, you have most likely heard

about Google Analytics already. This analytics service is provided by Google, and it helps

advertising campaigns, videos, social channels, etc.

Search Console is a free tool Google offers to webmasters. Within the tool are several

crawler bots.

developed by Majestic tool)

CF- Citation flow (the score shows the amount of link juice a site has also developed by
Majestic tool)

DR- Domain Rating (Score which measures the quantity and quality of backlinks
developed by AHREF tool )

UR- URL Rating ( UR score help to rate the backlink profile developed by AHREF)
KD- Keyword Difficulty ( KD is the score which helps to identify ranking difficulty)
KC- Keyword Competition (KC score is keyword competition according to the
competitors by LTP)

SMM- Social Media Marketing
CTA- Call to Action
EMD- Exact Match Domain
OBL- Outbound Links
PBN- Private Blog Network
