MINUTES OF MEETING

Call to order: Meeting started at 1:05 pm and adjourned at 3:30 pm

Preliminary Proceedings

The meeting was started with a prayer led by Mr. Jared Orellano of Dagat-Dagatan E/S, followed by
A roll call of the attendees by Mrs. Eloisa Ababat Education Program Supervisor in English. The
agenda of the meeting were as follows:

Meeting Agenda:

1.NLC Payment-There are schools that have not yet submitted their DTR and attachments for NLC

2.Reading Program-
a. Identify Non-Readers -Look for students who have significant difficulty in basic reading skills such
as decoding , fluency, and comprehension and create a list of identified non readers and their specific
challenges.

b. Record and Report Findings-Documents each student’s strengths and weaknesses and share the
assessment results with other educators and parents to ensure collaborative approach addressing the
issue.

c. Addressing the Problem -Develop individualized reading plans. Create tailored reading
intervention plans for each non-reader and include specific goals strategies, and timelines for
improvement.

d. Implement Intervention Strategies-Use phonics instructions, guided reading sessions and


vocabulary- building activities and incorporate multisensory approaches to cater to different learning
styles.
Monitor Progress-Regularly assess students ’progress through formative assessments and adjust
intervention plans based on ongoing assessment and feedback.

e. Engage Parents and Guardians -Communicate with parents about child’s reading difficulties and
progress and provide them with strategies to help their children in reading.

-Zero non-reader report was identified in some schools


-Ensuring reported data in Phil-IRI and CRLA were accurate

-Focus on reading intervention and identify pupils struggling
-Conduct individual assessment for pupils as early as possible for initial evaluation and intervention .

3.Diagnostic Test Result


Submission of results is on August 9, 2024

4. Collaborative Expertise-
Teachers must collaborate, leveraging their strengths and experiences to enhance teaching practices
and students learning outcomes and co-create innovative teaching strategies and solutions.
-The SDO will monitor the conduct of collaborative expertise in every school.

5. Other Program (GLACE, Navo Journ.) (for High School)

6. Other Matters

a. NMP and NRP are provided with time allotment and shall be considered part of the total teaching
load of teachers.

b. Catch-up Fridays shall be conducted every Friday throughout the school year. The development of
learners’ reading skills shall be specifically emphasized across all learning areas scheduled in the
morning while Values, Health and Peace Education shall be integrated into all learning areas
scheduled in the afternoon. Homeroom Guidance Program (HGP) shall also be scheduled during
Catch-up Fridays.

For Grades 1 to 3, the activities to be included in the NRP and the NMP Program shall be detailed in
separate issuances.
Schools are advised to apportion time for arrival and assembly, library work, learning stations, health
breaks, intervention activities, and other related tasks.

c. Curriculum Implementation –
-Grade 4 and 7-Matatag Curriculum Guide, BDA format /NLC format
