Project: Online Shopping Website Development

Project Description: The goal of this project is to develop a fully functional online shopping website
where customers can browse products, add items to their cart, make payments, and complete the
purchase. The project team consists of developers, designers, and testers.

Agile Methodology: Scrum

Sprint 1 (2 weeks):

 Sprint Goal: Create a basic user interface and implement product catalog functionality.

 User Stories:

1. As a customer, I want to be able to view a list of products.

2. As a customer, I want to be able to see product details when I click on a product.

3. As a customer, I want to add products to my cart.

 Tasks: Design the user interface, set up the product database, create product listing pages, and
implement the "add to cart" functionality.

 Daily Standup: The team discusses progress and any obstacles.

Sprint 2 (2 weeks):

 Sprint Goal: Implement the shopping cart and checkout functionality.

 User Stories:

1. As a customer, I want to view and edit the items in my shopping cart.

2. As a customer, I want to proceed to checkout and make a payment.

 Tasks: Implement the shopping cart functionality, create checkout pages, integrate payment
processing, and perform unit and integration testing.

 Daily Standup: The team discusses progress and any issues related to cart and checkout.

Sprint 3 (2 weeks):

 Sprint Goal: Enhance the user experience and perform testing.

 User Stories:

1. As a customer, I want to see product recommendations.

2. As a customer, I want to receive an order confirmation email.

 Tasks: Implement a recommendation engine, set up email notifications, conduct user


experience testing, and fix any bugs.

 Daily Standup: The team reviews progress, tests the recommendation feature, and ensures
email notifications work.
Sprint 4 (2 weeks):

 Sprint Goal: Finalize the project and prepare for deployment.

 User Stories:

1. As a customer, I want to receive a thank you email after the purchase.

2. As a project manager, I want all documentation and deployment scripts prepared.

 Tasks: Finalize the email notifications, prepare documentation, create deployment scripts, and
run performance and security testing.

 Daily Standup: The team ensures everything is ready for deployment.

Sprint 5 (1 week):

 Sprint Goal: Deploy the online shopping website.

 Tasks: Deploy the website to the production server, monitor for any issues, and address them
immediately.

 Daily Standup: The team closely monitors the deployment and fixes any issues that may arise.
