Online Car Shop Web Application with administrator
dashboard and Database!
It’s composed of two View Models i.e Frontend and Backend.
At the front end we have the index.php (Home page) which contains.
- Home Section
- Popular Sections - This displays car from different brands and all the data is fetched from
the Database (MySQL)
Here I have limited to show only 4 items per company filter, but all cars will be viewed on the
"Show-room page" navigating through the webpage.
- Service section - Guide Section
- Review Section - This captures all reviews made on cars and only reviews published by the
Super Admin are shown on the front end. This is managed in the admin dashboard.
Cars/Showroom Page
This page has all the cars derived from the database and will a minimum detail to show, each
car has a details button which will redirect you to the car Details Page and here you have all
the details about this car.
Details Page
This page displays all the information about cars, it has more features like Images both
interior and exterior images about the car.
It has a review section where a customer/client will write and submit a review about the car.
Talk to Staff button on this page and it will redirect to a different page showing clients
assigned by super admin to sell this car.
Staff/Agent Contact Details Page
This displays details of a verifies staff allocated to the car the client has selected.
Clients can contact this Staff/Agent via the contact details displayed on this page which are
confirmed by the Approver administrator in the admin dashboard.
A Staff/Agent is only assigned to the car once approved.
A staff/Agent to be approved must fill all the field in his/her account and are later checked by
the Super administer who approves and verifies the staff.
- Before this, the staff/agent is under non-verified badge.
Moving to the Backend, we have two separate login forms for Client and Staff, you will notice
the difference in the links.
Client Login Page Link.
Staff Login page link.
Client can access login page via Login Button in the navbar, please note that only Signed Up
clients can login to the dashboard,
Staff can access the login page via Administrator Link in the footer of every page.
Dashboard roles
We have two types of User/Staffs
- Ordinary Staff with a prefix "S" meaning Staff at the end of each page name/link.
Whenever you find S in the link that's a staff page.
- Administrator (Super Administrator)
Super admin manages everything, ranging from creating other staff accounts, adding cars
and updating, assigning To-dos to other staff and more features like you will play around the
application and find out.
Example of Admin/Super Staff account login credentials:
Username: isratech
Email: isratech8@gmail.com
Password: isratech.11
Ordinary staff is.
Not allowed to see total revenue,
Not allowed to change his/her role,
Not allowed to delete, update car details,
Example of Staff account login credentials:
Username: isra
Email: isratech@gmail.com
Password: 2
Note: You can, however, create your other users and give them roles in the admin
dashboard.
Messaging
I have captured all possible contact details for the staff and created a messaging module
within the dashboard where staff can chat with the registered client only.
Installation
You need to have XAMP installed on your PC and running, Extract the ZIP file, password is
isratech.1
Paste the project folder in your C drive and import the database file (SQL file into
phpMyAdmin portal)
Open Jadacars file > View >frontend to open the application. If
you need guidance here, please let me know.
