any time of the week. The radio reports that Scientia will enter the PAR tomorrow
and the weather bureau has released a tracking data that Scientia will follow.

Hola, soy Nora! I am PAR or the Philippine Area of Responsibility. I am the
area where weather events are monitored by PAGASA or the Philippine
Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Campo et.
al., 2013). Significant weather variations, especially tropical cyclones that enter
or develop in PAR, are given names unique to the Philippines (“Philippine Area of
Responsibility,” 2023).

Supertyphoon Scientia is expected to hit the country within this week. To
help us prepare for the typhoon we will be tracking Scientia using the data
released by the weather bureau.

So, let’s go now and track supertyphoon Scientia, Nora!

First things first, we need the coordinates that will show us Scientia’s
path.
Coordinates are a set of numbers or letters that show you the position of a place
you’re looking for (“Coordinates,” 2023).

Delicioso! Since we already have the tracking data of Scientia, let us now

try to trace the path of the typhoon inside the PAR.
The first set of coordinates tells that Scientia will be at 10° N and 135° E.
