8 Application Guidelines — Required Documents (Checklist)

N.B.: There is no age limit for DAAD scholarships, however, your last academic degree should be not older than six
years. You can apply three times for a DAAD scholarship.

One set of application documents has to be submitted in the following order:
1.) application form for admission to M. Sc. programme Photogrammetry and Geoinformatics, filled
on PC:
printed and hand-signed together with your other documents by post (without photo)
and digitally (together with your photo – see point 15) by e-mail to master-pg@hft-stuttgart.de.
2.) Duly filled in and hand-signed DAAD checklist
3.) DAAD application form (green) with ticked box Study scholarship for a postgraduate course
with relevance to developing countries
4.) one Letter of Motivation (addressing your choice of postgraduate programme(s), describing
previous and current occupations, goals, objectives and future plans, two pages maximum) with
current date.
N.B.: Even when applying for more than one EPOS postgraduate course (maximum 3 courses),
you must submit the same motivation letter to these couses, explaining why you are applying
for these specific courses and why you chose that priority.
5.) Curriculum vitae (CV) – tabulated, inverse chronological order, no unexplained gaps(!), current
date must be included, in English (format: EuroPass – https://europa.eu/europass/en).
6.) University certificates (as certified copies of the original documents). Degree, Bache-
lor/Diploma, (Master) – if the documents are not in German or English, additionally, a certified
translation must be provided.
7.) Transcript(s) (as certified copies of the original documents). Full set of transcript(s), all subjects
and grades – if the documents are not in German or English, additionally, a certified translation
must be provided.
8.) Grading scheme(s). Explanation of the grading system or a grading scheme as a separate doc-
ument if it is not part of the transcript – if the documents are not in German or English, addi-
tionally, a certified translation must be provided.

9.) Work certificates (originals or certified copies) from your employer(s) that prove a minimum
of two years of professional working experience relevant to the course (after the bachelor
degree) at the time of application (with letterhead, date, signature and official stamp).
10.) Reference letter from your current employer (with letterhead, date, signature and official stamp
– if possible with leave of absence and/or confirmation of a re-employment upon your return –
the letter must be of current date).
11.) A second (academic) reference letter either from a past employer or your university (with let-
terhead, date, signature and official stamp).
12.) Proof of English language skills for applicants from non-native English speaking countries:
TOEFL (minimum score: 550 paper based, 213 computer based, 80 internet based), IELTS band
6.0 or equivalent. (N.B.: The Institutional TOEFL will not be accepted.)
13.) Secondary school leaving certificate (GCE O- and A-level, Baccalauréat, high school diploma,
etc.) as certified copies of the original documents.
14.) Uncertified copy of your passport or identity card to prove your nationality.
15.) One passport photo digitally by e-mail – see point 1 (minimum resolution: W 350 px × H 450 px,
