Statement of the Problem

1. What is the degree of openness in communication between the respondents and their parents?
2. What is the level of respondents' quality of relationship with their siblings, specifically, in terms of:

2.1 Warmth/Closeness?
2.2 Relative Status/Power?
2.3 Conflict?
2.4 Rivalry?

3. What is the relationship between the respondents’ degree of openness in communication with their parents
and the quality of their relationships with their siblings (warmth/closeness, relative status/power, conflict,
rivalry)?
Part I. Parental Communication

Direction: For each of the following statements, please indicate the degree of openness in communication between you
