TERM ASSIGNMENT PRESENTATIONS

In groups of 6-8 students, download a journal paper presenting a new measurement system or
instrument in any of the below journals. Read it and understand it and do a 10-15 minute
presentation highlighting the below:

 Introduction (background study, objective of the paper, similar work done,


significance of the work done)
 Methods used to come up with the new system
 Results and discussion
 Conclusion and recommendations
 Why was the paper significant to you?

Journals to be used:

1. The IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement


2. The Review of Scientific Instruments
3. The IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Engineering
4. The Journal of Scientific Instruments

Grading:

 After identifying a journal paper, share with lecturer via email for approval to proceed
with review. All groups to send papers by end of week 3 – 20th September 2024.
 Presentations to begin from Week 5
 Power point presentation to be sent to smusima@kyu.ac.ke in PDF format.
 Presentation to be awarded marks out of 30
