1) Tell me about Yourself ?
My name is _____. I am from ________. I had
completed my (college course name) from ____ (college
name) with (8.51) DGPA. I had completed my class 12th
from (school name) with (75%).My hobbies are Dance,
Cricket, volleyball (tell your own hobbies). In my family
there are 3 members. My father is a govt. employee and
my mother is a homemaker.

2) Why you have choose Merchant navy?
When I was in class seven that time from one of my
friend I came to know about this merchant navy. After
that I have collected information about merchant navy.
And from that time it was my aim to join merchant navy.
3) Why should we hire you ?
Because I am very much passionate and motivated about
merchant navy and I am hardworking and I never quit
anything easily. so I think I can give my 100% for this
profession and for this company.

4) What are your strengths and weaknesses?
My strengths are I don’t have any homesickness, which will help
me to be on board for long time. I have a leadership quality, I
love to work always as a team.
My weakness is I am little bit shy when I talked to a new person.

5) Why you have choose this company?
According to current market situation in merchant navy, there
are very few companies who take open exam for
sponsorship/job. So nowadays options are few. I found this
company is one of them. Then I have searched about this
company and selection process. And then I filled the exam form.
6) Why Deck side / Engine side?
Deck side because it is my dream to become a CAPTAIN, that’s
why I have choose Deck side.
Engine side because I have more interest in mechanical and
machinery part that’s why Engine side.
7) Any idea what type of work you have to do on ship ?
Yes sir, from internet I got some idea about life and work on ship.

8) How would you survive without family and friend on ship?
I don’t have any homesickness. And I am very much passionate
about merchant navy. So I think I can survive onboard ship
without any problem. Now a days on ship internet is also
available, so I can contact them via whatsapp call.
9) What is your greatest fear in life ?

10) What do you know about Merchant navy?
The merchant navy is a term used to refer to the commercial
sector of the maritime industry. The merchant navy has no
involvement in military service, but rather the shipping of cargo
and people across sea routes aboard cargo ships, tankers, and
cruise liners.
The maritime industry stands at the heart of global connections
and economy as much of the world trade between nations is still
carried out marine trade routes.
Positions aboard merchant ships can typically be broken down
into four departments; deck department/ navigation,
engineering department, electro-technical department, and
stewards department/ hospitality.
All departments operate under the orders of the ship’s captain,
the highest responsible acting on behalf of the ship’s owner.
