Chapter 4: Revenge of Todd the Tattletale
Harold and George were not the only ones who noticed the chaos they caused. Todd, the class
snitch, had been watching their every move. He saw an opportunity to finally expose them and
earn some brownie points with Principal Crumple.
The next day, Todd cornered Harold and George in the hallway. “I saw what you did in the
cafeteria,” he sneered. “I’m going to tell Principal Crumple, and you’ll be in detention for the
rest of the year!”
Harold and George exchanged worried glances. They knew Todd was serious, and they had to
come up with a plan to stop him. Harold’s quick mind went into overdrive, and he whispered to
George, “We need to frame Todd before he can get to Crumple.”
George grinned. “I’m in. What’s the plan?”
Harold explained his idea. They would set up a fake prank and make it look like Todd was the
mastermind. It was risky, but they had no other choice. They spent the rest of the day gathering
supplies and setting their trap.
After school, they sneaked into the science lab and rigged a bucket of slime to fall on anyone
who opened the door. They left a trail of clues leading to Todd’s locker, including a note that
read, “Meet me in the science lab after school. - Todd.”
The next morning, Harold and George watched from a safe distance as Todd approached the
science lab. He opened the door, and the bucket of slime fell right on his head. The entire
hallway erupted in laughter as Todd stood there, covered in green goo.
Principal Crumple arrived on the scene, his face a mix of confusion and anger. “What is going on
here?” he demanded.
Todd tried to explain, but the evidence was stacked against him. The note, the slime, and the trail
of clues all pointed to him. Principal Crumple shook his head. “Todd, I expected better from you.
Detention for a week!”
Harold and George high-fived each other. Their plan had worked perfectly. Todd was furious,
but there was nothing he could do. He had been outsmarted by the masters of mayhem.
As they walked away, Harold couldn’t help but feel a little guilty. But George’s laughter was
infectious, and soon Harold was laughing too. They knew they had to be more careful, but for
now, they were safe.
“What’s next?” George asked, his eyes gleaming with excitement.
Harold grinned. “I’ve got a few ideas. But first, let’s lay low for a while. We don’t want to push
our luck.”
George nodded. “Agreed. But whatever we do, it’s going to be epic.”
