The bar chart compares the amount of annual coffee and meat consumption (in kg per person) among 7
countries, including Norway, France, Germany, the United States, Russia, China, and Japan. It can be clearly
seen that highest coffee consumption belonged to Norway while the highest meat consumption was recorded in
the United States.
In terms of coffee consumption, China and Japan had the lowest consumption rates, accounting for 3 and 4 kg
per person respectively. The United States, Russia, and France had higher consumption rates, the United States
drank 4 kg per person while Russia and France had the same coffee using rate (5 kg per person). The highest
coffee consumption belonged to Gemany (7 per person) and Norway (9 per person).
In terms of meat consumption, the consumption of Japan (42 kg per person) was lower than that of Russia (45
kg per person). The next two countries had higher consumption rates, the meat consumption of China totalled
47 kg per person whereas the consumption of Norway was higher, accounting for 60 kg per person. The next
three countries had higher consumption rates, starting with France (72 kg per person) and progressing through
Germany (87 kg per person) to the United States (122 kg per person)
In general, the meat consumption rates were higher than those of coffee across all countries.
