PART 1

1. What technology do you often use, computers or cell phones?

- i would have to say : tôi phải nói rằng .

- Well, I use both computers and cell phones on a daily basis. As for the
computer, I usually use it for more learning purposes such as submitting
assignments, sending emails or studying online. As for the cell phone, I
often use it to send text messages, make video calls, play games or
entertain. They both help me unwind as I can listen to music or watch movies on either
device.

2, what electronic device have you bought lately .

- Recently, I bought a pair of wireless earbuds. I needed something convenient for listening
to music and making calls without worrying about tangled wires. They also have good
sound quality and noise cancellation, which I really like. Other than that, I haven’t bought
any new devices lately I mainly use my phone and laptop every day.

3, is there any technology you don’t like ?

- I don’t really like technology that feels too addictive, like social media
apps. They can be a bit overwhelming, and sometimes I feel like they
take up too much of my time. I prefer technology that helps me be
more productive or creative without distracting me too much.

part 2 : Describe a piece of technology that you feel difficult to use.

- professional-grade : đẳng cấp chuyên nghiệp .

- embarked on a photography course : bắt đầu 1 khóa học nhiếp ảnh .
- embarked : bắt tay vào .
- amateur photographer.: nhiếp ảnh gia nghiệp dư .
- regettably: thật đáng tiếc
- as I had initially anticipated; như dự đoán ban đầu.
- multitude: vô số .
- overwhelming for someone: áp đảo ,choáng ngợp đối với ai đó .
- experimentation : sự thử nghiệm
- expertise: chuyên môn .
- sense of frustration: cảm giác thất vọng .
A piece of technology I find difficult to use is the tablet I bought about
six months ago. I got it mainly for reading e-books, watching videos,
and doing light work when I’m on the go. At first, I thought it would be
really convenient because it’s bigger than a phone but smaller than a
laptop. However, I quickly realized that I struggled with the touch
screen, especially when typing or navigating between apps.
Sometimes the tablet lags, and the screen is a bit too large to hold
comfortably for long periods, which makes reading or watching videos
not as enjoyable as I’d hoped. I don’t use it as often as I thought I
would—maybe once or twice a month—because I usually prefer the
smaller screen of my phone or the bigger screen of my laptop. Overall,
I feel a bit disappointed with it, and I find it less practical than I
imagined.

Describe something you do to keep you concentrated

You should say:

· What the activity is

· Where you do this activity

· Why you do this

· And explain how this activity helps you concentrate on your study/wor

One activity I do to stay concentrated is listening to instrumental music

while studying or working. I usually do this at home, in my study room,
or sometimes in a quiet café when I need a change of environment. I
find that instrumental music, especially classical or lo-fi beats, helps
me focus without distracting me, unlike songs with lyrics that tend to
pull my attention away. The reason I do this is that it creates a calming
atmosphere and blocks out any background noise that might be
around me. The music helps me feel more relaxed, which in turn
makes it easier for me to concentrate for longer periods of time. It’s
almost like a mental cue that tells me it’s time to focus. Overall, I find
that having this kind of background sound really helps improve my
productivity, whether I’m studying for exams or working on projects.

PART 3
1. Describe the advantages and disadvantages of modern technology.

Answer Modern technology has brought about many significant changes in our daily lives, and it
certainly has both advantages and disadvantages.

Advantages:

One of the biggest advantages of modern technology is convenience. Thanks to smartphones,

computers, and the internet, we can now access information, communicate with people around
the world, and complete tasks in a fraction of the time it used to take. For example, online
banking, shopping, and work-from-home tools have made everyday tasks much easier.
Technology has also revolutionized industries like healthcare, where medical advancements such
as telemedicine and AI-driven diagnostics are improving patient care. Additionally, social media
allows people to stay connected with friends and family no matter the distance, and it can even
help people find support or communities with similar interests.

Disadvantages:

However, there are also some downsides to modern technology. One major disadvantage is the
impact it can have on our health. Prolonged use of devices like smartphones and computers can
lead to eye strain, poor posture, and even sleep problems due to the blue light emitted from
screens. Another issue is that technology can sometimes contribute to social isolation. While we
may be more connected online, many people feel lonelier and less connected in real life.
Moreover, technology can be addictive, with people spending hours on social media or playing
video games, which can take away from time spent on more productive or meaningful activities.
Lastly, the rapid pace of technological advancement can also create challenges, such as job
displacement due to automation, and concerns about privacy and data security.

In conclusion, while modern technology offers many benefits that make life easier, it also comes
with challenges that need to be managed carefully. It's all about finding a balance between using
technology to improve our lives and being mindful of its potential downsides.

2. In what ways has technology changed your society?

Technology has changed society in many ways. It has made communication much easier—now
we can talk to anyone instantly through smartphones or social media. Work has also become
more flexible, with many people working from home thanks to the internet. In education, online
courses and digital resources make learning more accessible.

However, there are some downsides, like privacy issues and people spending too much time on
devices, which can affect real-life relationships. Overall, technology has improved life, but we
need to be aware of its challenges.
3. How has technology changed the way we communicate?

Technology has made communication much faster and easier. We can now instantly talk to
anyone anywhere through smartphones, messaging apps, and social media. Video calls let us see
and talk to people from a distance, making it feel like we’re in the same room. However, while
it’s convenient, it has also led to less face-to-face interaction, which can sometimes weaken
personal connections.

4. How has technology changed the nature of long-distance relationships?

- Technology has made long-distance relationships much easier. With video calls, messaging
apps, and social media, couples can stay connected instantly and even see each other in real-time.
Apps like Skype and WhatsApp make it feel like you're spending time together, despite the
distance. However, it can still be challenging because technology can't replace physical presence,
and too much digital communication might feel less personal.

Overall, technology has made long-distance relationships more manageable, but they still require
effort.

5. What are the limitations of technology when it comes to interpersonal relationships?

- Technology makes it easy to stay in touch, but it has some limits in building strong
relationships. One problem is that you can’t see body language or facial expressions, which are
important for understanding how someone really feels. Also, messages on social media or text
can feel less personal, and it’s easy to misunderstand what someone means without tone or
context. Finally, if people rely too much on technology, they might miss out on deeper, face-to-
face connections.

So, while technology helps us stay connected, it can’t fully replace real-life interactions.

6. How could technology be considered a hindrance for us? Can we overcome it?

Technology can be a hindrance in several ways. For example, it can make us less focused. With
constant notifications, social media, and endless entertainment, it’s easy to get distracted and
waste time. Technology can also lead to social isolation, as people might spend too much time
online and not enough time interacting with others face-to-face. Additionally, over-reliance on
gadgets can affect our health, causing problems like eye strain, poor posture, and sleep issues.

To overcome these problems, we can set limits on our screen time, turn off unnecessary
notifications, and make a conscious effort to spend time offline, engaging in real-life activities.
Being mindful of how we use technology can help us enjoy its benefits without letting it control
our lives.
