1 Introducing the Web Portal

You can view and manage the imager features and connections directly at the imager
OR from across the room or the medical center using the Web Portal. The Web Portal
software enables you to view the imager features, connections, status, etc., from a
networked personal computer. This manual guides you through the Web Portal
features.

About the Web Service Portal Software

The Web Portal is a part of the imager system. Access the Web Portal over the Internet
on a networked personal computer. In the Web Portal, you can view and manage the
imager's connections over the network, configure features, view and correct error
messages and general status, etc.
When you access the Web Portal, a Device Status screen appears. You can check the
status of the imager, the film, and the film supplies. The layout of the Web Portal varies
slightly based on the operating system of the imager system:
• WINDOWS operating system: The left panel of the Web Portal contains a menu with
links to other areas of the system.
• LINUX operating system: The menu with links to the other areas of the system is
located under the Menu drop-down list at the top of the screen.
The other areas of the Web Portal include:
• Configuration—Set up the imager on the network, and set it up to receive from
modalities.
• Diagnostics—Generate test prints, etc.
• Logs—View logs, etc.
• Monitoring and Control—View monitoring information about the imager, check
print counts, etc. Includes the mammography quality control settings.
• System Information—View system and version information.
• Upgrade—Upgrade the software.
• Utilities—Log off, restart, and backup/restore the software.
• Wizards—Access the Installation and Image Quality utilities.
While working in the Web Portal, the Help (question mark) icon provides context-
sensitive information.
