1BCA2 – COMMUNICATIVE ENGLISH;
Objective;
This course is designed on a predominantly communicative or interactive approach to the learning
English. This approach is based on the belief that language is not a body of knowledge to be learnt but a
skill to be acquired, Student requires the ability to use the language fluently effectively, correctly,
confidently and naturally in real life situations that is to say, they imbibe and internalize the language.
However, the approach is to encourage the learners to formulate and express their ideas and offer
ample scope for creativity. The approach has been aimed at an integrated development of the four
basic skills – listening, speaking, reading and writing.
