global trade, promotes peace
and security, provides
jurisdiction to solve inter-
state disputes and reinforces
the idea of peaceful co-
existence.
Similarly, a global
framework protecting the
rights of animals is a must.
however , . There presently
exists no global treaty

of animal welfare.
research methodology
To raise awareness about the systematic
exploitation of animals in multiple ways
around the world.

To analyze the need for a

comprehensive international law for
the safeguard of animal rights.

To scrutinize the detrimental effects on

innumerable animal species due to the non-
existence of codified laws on the security of
animals and birds.

To study the economic and social obstacles that

occur in the adoption of an internationally
accepted treaty on animal protection laws.

To understand the hindrances in the

application of animal welfare
mechanisms in the food production chain
and trade network.

Conclusion
This research paper has tried to reiterate the role of international bodies that frame laws to
galvanize the animal protection movement. This paper also points out the various methods of
animal exploitation for fulfilling various human needs some of which are frivolous and mostly
recreational. It rightly highlights that certain animal products as well as animals used in the
entertainment and tourism sector can be stopped in use but due to certain economic and cultural
needs it is not feasible to do so. Moreover, this paper also points out the roadblocks and
complications that are bound to show up while framing these laws. In a nutshell, the challenges
are innumerable when given a thorough analysis. Nevertheless, these are not impossible to get
past. A ratified global treaty regulating animal rights is the first step towards making a change.
