Individual Assignment: Designing Your Resume
Objectives:
At the end of these exercises, the students should be able to write basic HTML5 incorporating:
• Table element with row and column spanning,
• Image and
• Links
Activity #1
In this lab session, create your own online resume by using HTML5. Use table element to design the
layout of your resume as shown in Figure 1. You may add other components based on your creativity,
but must follow this page layout.
Save your page as yourindexnumber.html AND link it to your group page
Activity #2
• Set the table border to zero (0).
• Save your file as <Your_ID_number>.html

Exercise 1: Adding menu areas
▪ Open your text editor e.g. Notepad++.
▪ save your document as index.html
▪ Type the following HTML code:
Study the code above and do the following:
1. Create a webpage with header, nav, main, 3 section(s), aside, footer
2. Create <nav> with 3 anchor links corresponding to the 3 section(s) using ids as anchor links
3. Add content (dummy text) into remaining tags
4. Insert at least two recent images, names and ids of the group members under the images in the
index page.
5. Insert your own recorded audio and a short video about a topic.
