Drills Inside the Edger. Axcell CL-D has a rimless drill built inside the

edging chamber that drills automatically. Edging and drilling are executed
in one machine without handling the lens between steps. Axcell CL-D edges
and drills a rimless job in about 10 minutes versus an average of 30 minutes
or more using an edger and a stand-alone drill.

Identifies Hole Placement Automatically. Using Briot’s exclusive PROS
imaging technology, the system determines the holes or slots required —

Edges All Lens Materials. The Axcell CL-D processes all of today’s popular
lens materials and types. It has special settings to make it easier to edge:
• Trivex Lenses
• Hydrophobic Lenses (AR coatings)
• Fragile Lenses

Grooves Rimless Lenses. The Axcell CL-D has two groove widths for
processing rimless lenses, 0.6mm and 1.0mm, and can handle thin and
fragile frame styles with two operating modes, auto and manual.
Safety Bevels Front and Rear. The Axcell CL-D safety bevels both the front
and rear of the lens, with a choice of 4 settings to provide a smooth finish.
Auto-Expert Mode. Select this option and the edger will automatically
determine the optimum bevel or groove placement and execute the finished
lens automatically. Auto-Expert is great for novices and saves time for experts.
New Super Polish. Briot’s new Super Polish wheel provides a high quality,
high luster finish for most lens types. Polishing is done automatically and quickly
in the edging chamber, reducing time and lens handling to avoid spoilage.
