I. Narrative Report (Introduction, Body, Conclusion)

The CBPA 3-in-1 Business Summit entitled “A.I.MING

High: Advancing Innovation and Motivating Inspiring Next-

Generation Graduates”, held at Century Park Hotel on P.

Ocampo Street, Malate, Manila, on November 25-26, is one of

the most unforgettable experiences of my life. I gained a

lot of valuable insights, especially from our keynote

speaker, Theofanis Varvoglis, a distinguished professor

specializing in Trust and Marketing. He shared profound

insights about Artificial Intelligence (AI), particularly

its impact on people’s lives today. He discussed AI's

specific influence on marketers, its role in businesses, and

how it helps organizations operate efficiently. He

emphasized that changes brought by AI are occurring

dramatically and continuously. For individuals and

businesses to keep up with these rapid changes, they must

embrace AI, as it significantly enhances work efficiency and

has a positive impact on businesses. He also noted that for

a business to endure and thrive, it must be capable of

adapting to these changes. Moreover, AI creates value by

producing low-cost, high-quality products, further

benefiting businesses. When it came to the topic of Trust,

he used an analogy involving buffaloes and lions. He

explained that, in theory, buffaloes are capable of

overpowering a lion. However, because they lack trust in one

another, they become easy prey. Conversely, if they trust

and work together, buffaloes can drive away or even kill

lions. In the context of business and organizations, trust

is just as essential. I learned that trust is something we

all seek, and society cannot function without it. Prof.

Theofanis Varvoglis emphasized that trust is the foundation

of our industry and society. He explained that as trust

increases, costs decrease. Without trust, there would be no

police, no customers, no buildings, or infrastructures. He

cited the 9/11 terrorist attack on the Twin Towers as an

example, highlighting how the lack of trust caused by this

event resulted in billions of dollars in losses for the

United States.

Following this, we attended another event entitled

“Digital First: Navigating the Future of Marketing Through

Innovation and Technology.” Here, we had the opportunity to

interact with and ask questions to various guest speakers,

including Sir Eric L. Flores, Sir Justiano, Sir Tons Llander

Are, Sir Julius C. Delos Reyes, Johemie Quiñones, Ma’am Ivy

Demain-Rosarito, and Ma’am Victoria Bernalte. During this

event, we learned their diverse insights on how they use AI

in their respective fields and how it helps make their work

more efficient. One of the questions raised was: “Do you

think AI, automated systems, or possibly robots will replace

humans in the future, particularly in marketing?” All of

them agreed that there is a possibility that AI might

replace marketers in the future. However, they also

mentioned that this is a frightening prospect, as it could

lead to job losses for many people. To address this

challenge, Ma’am Ivy shared that she continues to learn and

attend training sessions about Artificial Intelligence to

keep herself updated and ensure she remains relevant in her

field. Among all the speakers, Ma’am Ivy was the one I

admired the most. Her wisdom about AI stood out to me, and

her ability to communicate effectively and share personal

experiences was inspiring. She not only provided valuable

lessons about AI but also shared insights applicable to

personal life, making her speech truly impactful. The last

event of the 3-in-1 Business Summit that we attended was the

Socialization Night. During this part of the summit,

everyone dressed in elegant and sophisticated attire, which

added more glamour to the event. It was a memorable evening

where we had the chance to personally interact with the

guest speakers from earlier sessions. We were also given the

opportunity to ask them three questions related to

marketing, business, or career insights. One of the most

memorable moments for me was when I asked Ma’am Ivy this

question: "What should I do if my coworkers are trying to

pull me down?" Her response was truly inspiring. She said

that the corporate world is not for the faint-hearted. You

need to be strong, stand on your own feet, believe in

yourself, and, most importantly, never forget to pray and

dedicate everything you do to God. After the Q&A with the

guest speakers, the party officially began. We enjoyed

singing, dancing, and celebrating with our friends. Of

course, no event would be complete without taking lots of

pictures of our outfits and the wonderful memories we

created. Once the party ended, we retired to our designated

rooms to rest after a fun and meaningful day.

To sum up my personal experience at the 3-in-1 Business

Summit, I can genuinely say it was worth it and

unforgettable. The knowledge I gained from the event is

something I will carry with me, especially when I enter the

corporate world or start my career. As for the hotel where

we stayed, it was excellent—everything from the food to how

we were treated was top-notch. The rooms were well-equipped,

ensuring we had a comfortable and restful stay. The event

itself was incredibly helpful for us as future marketers. I

learned a lot that contributed to my personal and

professional growth. I hope that future graduating students

from EARIST will also get the chance to experience this kind

of event. I’m sure they will gain valuable insights, have

fun, and create unforgettable memories that they will

treasure for a lifetime.
