Hello everybody!

Now it's time for you to do the task for this week. Read the instructions below. Remember that i
f you need to review a topic, you can always check the course material as many times
as you need. Keep in mind that you have to present this task during week 4.

1. Learning Outcome:

Through this activity, students give and ask for information about events in an action film using
the grammar and vocabulary learned in Weeks 2 to 4.

1. Description:

For the development of the academic task, they must consider the following aspects:

 Step 1: Collaborative work (get into pairs or groups of three).


 Step 2: Check this week’s study material and your sessions’ notes.
 Step 3: Prepare a 4 minute dialogue with your partner.

Situation: You and your partner(s) are talking about


a fantastic action film you saw in the cinema some time ago.
Ask each other questions about the cast and the story in the film.
Ask for specific details. Tell your partner as many things as possible about the story.

Student A asks B about the cast and the story in the film. Student B gives details and
describes the story. Student A asks about specific details he/she wants to know about. Student B
responds.

Student A asks B about something that was happening when something else happened in
the story that he/she wants to know about. Student B describes what was happening at that
moment. Student A asks about any other specific details he/she wants to know about. Student B
responds.

Student B asks A about the cast and the story in the film. Student A gives details and
describes the story. Student B asks about specific details he/she wants to know about. Student A
responds.

Student B asks A about something that was happening when something else happened in
the story that he/she wants to know about. Student A describes what was happening at that
moment. Student B asks about any other specific details he/she wants to know about. Student A
responds.

Content:

Action verbs: regular and irregular verbs in past tense (Weeks 2- 4)


Cast in the film

 Linking words “so”, “however”, “in addition”, “on the other hand”, “in conclusion”.
 Past simple and past progressive tense in sentences and questions
 Step 4:
 Practice the dialogues with your partner(s) paying attention to the pronunciation
and intonation.
 Remember to transmit your personal emotions as if you were in a real situation.
 Step 5: Once you are ready, record yourself using multimedia and upload it to the
learning platform or upload your video on Youtube /Drive and share the link in a Word
format in the learning platform.
 Step 6: Use the following structure:
 Cover: Your names and last names must be there. Include your photos. There
are 2 options to do it: (Choose one)
 Option 1: Insert the cover in your video if you record it on the virtual
platform.
 Option 2: Insert the cover in a Word format with the YouTube
link/Drive link.

Example of the cover:

 Vocabulary of the week
 Personal notes
1. Presentation
 Number of participants: 2 - 3
 Format: Video or Word format with Youtube link.
 Video length: 4 minutes
