Registration of a concurrent program in

Oracle Apps

Step 1 : Creation of Stored Procedure in back end:

Compile below procedure in back end (TOAD).

CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE XXTRG_HELLO_PRC(

ERR_BUF OUT VARCHAR2, ERR_CODE OUT NUMBER -– DEFAULT


PARAMETERS FOR CONCURRENT PRG EXECUTION

AS

BEGIN

FND_FILE.PUT_LINE(FND_FILE.OUTPUT,'HELLO, THIS IS MY FIRST PROGRAM');

FND_FILE.PUT_LINE(FND_FILE.LOG,'HELLO, THIS IS MY FIRST PROGRAM');

--DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE('HELLO, THIS IS MY FIRST PROGRAM');

END;
STEP 2: Login Oracle Application

STEP 3: Go To Application Developer (Responsibilty) ->


Concurrent -> Executable
STEP 4 : Creation of executable on executable screen ,enter
details as below

Save It.
STEP 5 : Copy SHORT NAME field

STEP 6: GO TO Application Developer -> Concurrent ->


Program
STEP 7. – Paste the step 5 Short name value of executable to
Executable section on concurrent program screen then Press
Tab.

It will populate the executable we created in previous 4 steps.

STEP 8. : Enter the details as below ,don’t forget to keep


same Application what we used in previous steps while
creating executable. (Here it is Application Object Library).

Then save it.


STEP 9: Now we need to submit this program Training Hello
Program under Responsibilty Application Developer.

From above menu options View -> Request -> Submit a New
Request->OK-> Program .

we need our above program to be visible in the LOV after this


navigation.

Request Group is attached to Responsibilty and Programs are


attached to Request Group.

Now we have concurrent program and Responsibilty so we


need to find the request group under Application developer to
which we can attach our above program.

RESPONSIBILTY-> REQUEST GROUP-> CONCURRENT PROGRAM

STEP 10 : For that please click on the Black symbol as


highlighted -Switch responsibility

Select System Administrator Responsibilty.


[ System Administrator Responsibility is where you can do
administrative works in Applications. Like addition of
concurrent program to Request Group(Program
Group),creation of user etc.]

Now you are in System Administrator Responsibilty as shown


below
STEP 11 – System Administrator (Responsibilty)-> Security-
>Responsibility-> Define

STEP 12 : Press F11 : it will grey out the screen with blue
color as shown below. It is QUERY MODE: it means whatever
you enter in the screen field it will populate records related to
those keywords. If don’t know the complete field name you can
use small spell and then use ‘%’ to search that record.

E.g. if u want to search ‘TEST’ ,you can use F11 then ‘TE%’
and then Press CNTRL+F11 then it will populate all records one
by one who start with TE.
STEP 13 : Query Application Developer Responsibilty as
shown in below:
Then press cntrl+ f11 below details will be populated.

STEP 14 : Now copy Request Group Value : Application


Developer Reports as highlighted.

STEP 15 : Go to SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR -> RESPONSIBILTY -


> REQUEST ->
STEP 16: After opened request screen, press F11 and then put
above copied value of request group and paste in Group field
as shown in below and then press Cntrl+F11 ,it will populate
below request group details.
STEP 17 : Click on the Request Section in below screen and
then press ADD (plus Green color button) shown below top
right corner and then select Program from Type column as
shown in below and then put your above concurrent program
name under Name field and then press TAB.

Then Save it.

In this way, Our concurrent program XXTraining Hello Program


is added to Request group Application developer reports in
turn added to responsibility Application developer.
STEP 18: Now switch responsibility again from black symbol
from Menu above as per below highlighted.

Now we are in Application developer Responsibilty.


STEP 19 : Go To above Menu View->Requests->Submit a New
Request-> OK->
STEP 20 : Enter Program name as below press Submit button
and then press No.
STEP 21 : Now our program is submitted in application ,we
need to see the status and output of program. Press Find as
shown below.
STEP 22 : Below screen will open ,press refresh data to see
Phase (yellow colored) .Once phase ic Completed the program
is done we can see the Output by View Output Button.

STEP23 : OUTPUT of above Program
