Course Outcomes Program Outcomes


CO1 Understand and apply rules of logic to distinguish between valid and invalid PO1, PO2,
arguments and use them to prove mathematical statements.
CO2 Understand sets, their various operations and use them to analyze functions PO1, PO2
and its various concepts as well as study sequences and summations.
CO3 Analyze the searching and sorting algorithms and use the growth of functions PO1, PO2
to study the time complexity of algorithms as well as apply some of the
important concepts
of number theory to divisibility and modular arithmetic, integer representation
of algorithms, congruences and cryptography.
CO4 Construct proofs by mathematical induction and analyze and formulate PO1, PO2
recursive definitions and develop structural induction.
CO5 Apply different counting techniques to solve various problems. PO1
CO6 Apply relations and their properties to analyze equivalence relations and PO1, PO2
partial orderings.
