The Toolbar
The top toolbar is what you will be using most of the time. Tap the center of
the screen to hide and show the toolbar.
The toolbar buttons
The buttons are Songs menu, Go menu, Do menu, dB (keywords menu),
CD/Music menu, Draw menu, Action menu button and Settings.
Getting songs into unrealBook
The first thing that you must do is get PDF files into unrealBook. There are
several ways to do this. Using Dropbox or iTunes are the main ways to load
a large number of PDF files into unrealBook. All PDF files that are in the
unrealBook Documents folder will be listed in the Songs menu. All files
must be of PDF type and have a .pdf extension.
There are many ways to get PDF files into unrealBook, please access
the Info & Help menu to access the support pages (must have
internet connection).
You can use iTunes, iMazing (from imazing.com), email, open in.... from
another program, Dropbox.com, Box.com and Airdrop from a computer.

Quick Start for Dropbox.com - Access Dropbox
You must have a Dropbox.com account. Once you have an account, put your
PDF files inside a folder. All of the PDF files must have a .pdf or .PDF
extension. Choose Dropbox - Remote files from the Action menu. Log in with
your Dropbox name and password.
Quick Start for Dropbox.com - download your new files
Navigate to your Dropbox folder and choose Get New. All the newest files
will be downloaded into unrealBook.
Choosing a Song/PDF File
It's easy to choose a song/PDF file.
Press the Songs menu, or tap in the top left of the screen if the
toolbar is not displayed.
Select All Files from the Songs menu.
Select a song to load
Simply press a song to load. If you press and hold on a song in the All
Files menu, a small preview will appear. From this preview you can
rename and delete the file.
Search for a specified song
Type into the search field to locate a specified song. You do not have to type
the entire name. unrealBook can search for a subset of letters. If you make
a mistake, swipe left on the search field to clear it. Swipe right to
bring back the last search term.
Deleting a song permanently
Swipe left on the file name in the All Files menu to delete a file.
Preview a song
Press and hold on the song name in the All Files menu to get a preview of
the file. You can Duplicate, Rename , Favorite and Delete the file from this
preview window.
Rebuilding the All Files list
To rebuild the All Files list, pull down on it. You may have to do this after
adding a PDF to unrealBook's folder. You can also rebuild the Quick Find and
any index list by pulling down on it.
Quick Find
Quick Find will display a list of files and indexes (if you have created them).
This can be useful if you want to see every single song listing - but if you
have lots of indexes, it can be overwhelming. In that case, using All Files
and then pressing the All Indexes button may be a quicker way to switch
between files and index listings. Pull down on the Quick Find to rebuild the
list.
Creating Set Lists for performances
In addition to allowing you to search and load songs quickly, unrealBook
allows you to create set lists for live performance. Set lists allow you to turn
through a pre-determined list of songs as well as jump directly to any song
in the set list quickly.
Make sure Set List Mode is ON
Select Set List Mode to set ON if it is off. If the set list menu is not
showing on the bottom of the screen, then Set List Mode is turned
off.
Create a new set list using the set list toolbar on the bottom of the
screen
Press the + sign on the bottom left set list toolbar to access the set list
menu. Choose New Set List.
Add Songs to the Set List
To add a song to the set list, press any of the blue -> buttons to insert a
song into the set list.
Reorder songs using the drag icons
To reorder the songs in the set list, move the drag icons up and down.
Delete songs from the set list using the minus buttons
Press the minus buttons to delete songs from the set list.
Randomize the set list by using the Shuffle button.
Pressing the Shuffle button will randomize the order of the songs.
Sort the set list alphabetically using the Sort Button
Use the Sort button to sort the set list.
Create a new blank page by using the + button
Press the + button to name and add a new blank file to the set list.
Add all the songs from a list to the current set list by using the L
button
If you have created lists, then you can add the entire contents of a list into
the current set lists. Use this to turn a list, into a set list.
Use the Search Icon to quickly add songs to the set list
The search icon allows you to add files from All Files (PDFs and Bookmarks),
Lists (subsets of songs), Indexes (entries in a PDF) and Keywords (keyword
listing of files). Please try the All Files as you can search, select, then search
again very , very quickly. You can create a set list very quickly using this
popup! If you press and hold on a song in the All Files menu, a small
preview will appear. If you search for .pdf or even a period ".", you
will be able to create a set list containing all files.
Name and save your set list
Name your set list and press the Save button to save your set list.
Recall your saved set lists
Press the middle of the set list toolbar to recall your saved set lists.
Tap left and right on the page to turn back and through pages.
Tap on the left of the page to go back one page. Tap on the right of the page
to turn through pages. Tap the center to toggle the toolbars.
Use the previous and next buttons to move through your set list
Press the < button to go back one file, use the > button to move to the next
file int he set list.
Jump directly to songs in your set list
Press the popup to the right of the set list toolbar to jump directly to a song
in the set list.
If you press and hold on a song, the title will be highlighted with yellow or
the text will be highlighted with red depending on the settings. This
highlighting is retained across set lists. Press and hold again to turn off the
highlighting.
Give your set list colors, notes and override MIDI strings
Swipe to the left of the set list popup item to access options. Any string
entered in the MIDI window will override any MIDI assigned to this file. Note
will allow you to add a small note which will be displayed below the song
title. Color wll allow you to change the color of the titles.
Configure button in the set list popup. Delete, re-order/arrange and
rescan set lists.
The configure button allows you to delete, rescan and order your set lists.
Configuring/arranging your set lists
Using the configure button you can sort, re-order or delete your set lists.
Press Name to sort alphabetically, Date to sort by date and Delete to allow
deleting of set lists. Drag the handles on the right to re-order your set lists.
Press Rescan to rebuild the entire set list menu.
Modify an existing set list
Click the + button on the left of the set list toolbar. Choose Modify Set List.
The set list editor will appear allowing you to edit an existing list. To save
under a new name, simply rename the set list in the editor.
Adding the current displayed song to the current set list
You can use the + button on the left of the set list toolbar to add the current
song displayed to the set list. It will be added to the end of the current set
list.
Create a new list in the songs menu from a set list.
Use the + button on the left of the set list toolbar to add the current set list
to the songs menu.
Save a set list to a single PDF
This will create a single PDF from all of the songs in the set list. You can use
this feature to join multiple PDF files or to send someone else all of the
songs in a set list as a single PDF. Simply load the newly created PDF and
then use Share PDF in the action menu.

These commands will share the set list in various ways
Email Set List As Text
Choosing Email Set List as Text will create a new email message with the
song listings in the message body. Very useful for emailing the titles of the
songs in a set list to other people.
Share.. Set List File
Choosing this will allow you to share the set list file to another application,
iPad or via email. If the other iPad is AirDrop compatible (iPad Mini or
newer), you can send share the file quickly and easily. AirDrop is a super
high speed transfer method that will allow you to send the files very quickly
to another iPhone or iPad.
Share... Set List and All Files
Choosing this will create a ZIP file that you can share to another application,
iPad or via email. This will send the entire set list and all associated files for
the entire set list. If the other iPad is AirDrop compatible (iPad Mini or
newer), you can send share the file quickly and easily. AirDrop is a super
high speed transfer method that will allow you to send the files very quickly
to another iPhone or iPad. In the above example, you can press on the
round icons at the top to send the entire set list and all files to the various
devices (iPhone and MacBook Pro). You can also choose to send the files
without your annotations (drawings).
Open in... Set List And Flattened...
This will attempt to create brand new PDF files with the annotations burned
in and stored in a zip file. You can then send the zip file to another
application or use Airdrop to send it to your computer or other iOS device. If
the other iPad is AirDrop compatible (iPad Mini or newer), you can send
share the file quickly and easily. AirDrop is a super high speed transfer
method that will allow you to send the files very quickly to another iPhone or
iPad.
Upload Set List to Dropbox
You can upload the current set list and all files to a Dropbox folder.
