MINIMUM CONFIGURATION
In minimum configuration mode, agents can run without any performance impact in standard
operating system conditions with bare minimum software and lightweight 3rd party security
solutions. However, performance will get impacted if below prerequisites are not met or
other CPU or RAM heavy software are installed alongside and used.
CPU (Intel Platforms)
• Intel Core i3/i5 - (Desktop & Laptop) - 6th generation or higher
• Intel Core i7 - (Desktop) - Any generation, (Laptop) - 6th generation or higher
• Intel Core i9 - (Desktop/Laptop) - Any generation
RAM - 8 GB or above (DDR3 or higher)
Hard Disk - SSD Supported with 10 GB or more free space at any point on primary OS
partition.
Operating Systems -
• Windows 7 SP2 (32-bit, 64-bit)
• Windows 8.1 (32-bit, 64-bit)
• Windows 10 (32-bit, 64-bit)
• Windows 11 64-bit

• IPv6 address support should be enabled.
• ROOT privilege should be provided for InDefend Agent installation.
• End users should not be given administrative access.
• Agent installation on VMs is supported only when the parent machine has a CPU
specification of Core i7 and above.
• apt repository should be updated on the system, to verify use apt-get update command.
• Internet Connectivity is mandatory on all Linux Agent machines.
• inDefend Linux Agent is designed to be supported for installation on Desktops, Laptops and
Workstation based environments only. inDefend Linux agent should not be installed in
Linux servers.
• inDefend Linux agent is not compatible with the following applications, if present on the
endpoint:
• Virtual machines (Vmware, Virtualbox, and so on)
• Docker
• Any application server (Django, Tomcat, JBoss, etc)
• Necessary Antivirus Exceptions as per Annexure II must be added for the endpoint before
installing the agent or pushing the agent remotely. Failure in doing so shall create abrupt
network disruptions in the necessary end point system.
