No. of Pupil Beneficiaries: Grade VI-A Male: 16 Female: 13 Total: 29

The implementation of Project HELLO came into birth through the conduct of group

orientation-the school heads, MSEP teachers, parents and learners. Administration of

Diagnostic Test (Pre-Test) was a prerequisite on its implementation. The school head

and teachers had a frequent conversation on how to make the program effective being

guided with the prepared Lesson Plans (LPs) and Classroom Observation Tool (COT).

A Post Test was given importance and as part of the process to complete the data for

analysis. The program implementation ended through the administration of the 2 nd

Quarter Periodic Test on MAPEH with English integration. To measure its effectiveness,

the 1st and 2nd quarter test results were used for evaluation and analysis.

A colloquy between the advocates and its implementers played a very important role

in the intervention. The pupils and parents made them aware of the program that led

them to draw their understanding, their commitment and support to the Project HELLO.
The teachers and school head found out that integrating English in teaching the four

subjects of MAPEH is quite challenging, yet very effective strategy to have quality

teaching thus improve the skills of the learners in English subject. This intervention is

not just for the pupils but also an enhancement to improve teachers’ skills in English

language.

We highly recommend the adoption or adaption maybe of this innovation. We are

looking forward for another group discussion or days of training workshop to sharpen

the skills of teachers that will lead to have a quality prepared lesson plans and will end

up to quality teachers and learners. School heads awareness and assistance to the

program is highly appreciated.
