EDPM ASSIGNMENT # 2 – RESEARCH - EMAIL
Description
A new joint report by two United Nations agencies says mental health problems are on the rise
in teenagers. As the president of the Students’ Council body, you are asked to conduct a
research project on mental health to sensitize the students at your school about it.
Your task is to obtain and summarize the information, prepare it for dissemination via e-mail,
and state all sources in an appropriate bibliography.
DO NOT COPY AND PASTE ANY INFORMATION/CHARTS FROM WEBSITES OR OTHER
STUDENTS, YOU WILL BE PENALIZED. PARAPHRASE THE INFORMATION THAT YOU GET WHEN
USING IT IN YOUR RESEARCH.
What it should include:
1. Parts
i. Title page
ii. Cover page
iii. Introduction
iv. Table of Contents
v. The information on Mental Health
vi. Print Screen Page
vii. Bibliography
2. Page numbers: at the bottom of every page EXCEPT the cover page
3. Print Screen: For your print screen, take a screenshot of a composed email addressed to
five recipients. Add a message and an attachment. Insert the print screenshot before the
bibliography

COMPONENTS OF THE RESEARCH

4. What is mental health? (Definition of mental health)
5. What are the different types of mental health issues?
6. What are the major causes of mental health Issues\What factors affect mental health?
7. List any FIVE problems/issues faced by persons with mental health sicknesses
8. List three different treatments that can be used to treat mental illnesses. Give a brief
description of one.

Format of the assignment


9. Utilize Footnotes/Endnotes (two to be used in total; either one of each, or two of one)
10. Utilize line ending hyphenation (at least twice)
11. Provide a bibliography, using the APA format. You include at least THREE references.

12. Print ‘Print screen or screen shot’ of a least two web pages used (Place on separate pages)
13. In an e-mail, attach the research paper and the web links used.
14. Print screen or screen shot’ the email page, showing:
1. The two attachments (the research document and the web links)
2. Multiple recipients addressed inserted in the ‘To, Cc and Bcc’ sections.

iii. Brief message in the body of the e-mail.
17. Once you have screenshotted the email page, insert the screenshots at the end of your
research document.
18. Then upload it to your Schoology by Friday February 21, 2025.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

 Use a simple cover page, No borders, elaborate font and font size.
 Use Times New Roman, size 12 for the body of text.
 Use Times New Roman, Size 14 for all headings, you may use all caps or initial caps.
 Ensure that you use the correct character spacing e.g. 2 spaces after periods, question
and exclamation marks, 1 space after commas, semi-colons and colons.
 Use appropriate line spacing, Triple Line Space after heading and between paragraphs,
Double Line Space between the lines in a paragraph.
 Use appropriate images, graphs, charts, tables (you will be graded for these).
 Use footnotes or endnotes meaningfully.
STEPS TO BE TAKEN
1. Do your research. Use the internet to gather all the information required. For each article,
webpage which you will use you NEED to copy the following information about the
webpage as you are required to include a bibliography.
1. Web address
2. Author(s)
3. Year of publication
4. Title of article/name of publication
5. Date that you accessed the web page/article.
2. The information that you gather should be all recorded on a Google Doc. This will make it
easy for you when you put it together in your research document.
3. When you have finished, create your research document in Microsoft Word following the
guidelines outlined above.
